Last June I went to st Petersburg Russia to see a friend.I have never ever imagined that people can live a life empty without God or any form of deity in their lives.My friend and his relatives know very little about God and live a hollow life literally.How do I introduce God to them.I tried the Bible story but it seems too abstract for them.I pray for them daily and desire that God is revealed in their lives.Please give me some suggestions on how to go about it.

Thank you forGod1.When I was talking to one of them,he was telling me that in Russia people start coming close to cathedrals or worship places when they are old and about to die.For him he thinks there is time.So his intrest levels are down.But there is one thing they kept asking me.They wondered ,how come I was always happy as if I have no problems?I would tell them,the joy I have is of the Lord,He takes care of my business.

That is true because we are saved by grace.I am praying for them so that they may see and embrace the love of God.Its God who gives us the power to do His will.I hope that I dont leave anything undone on my part,thats my only concern.

Although some people do get saved that way, as you did, this is not a biblical form of evagelizing. You will not find that anywhere in scripture. The OP needs to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, who He is, what He did and what will happen to them if they reject Him. The OP then needs to back up what he's preaching by sharing the love of Christ with them. The Holy Spirit will do the convincing, the convicting and the converting. They can ask Jesus into their heart, but if the heart is not prepared to recieve the Lord, nothing will happen.

Perhaps you could ask them to attend a baptismal or Christian funeral with you. As strange as it may sound it does some amazing eye opening!

That is a great idea.I had never thought of it that way.This can actually cause them to ask critical quetions about life and death and for what purpose are we here.I will try this one

Don't preach at them. Instead share your own experiences. Usually that's what makes people be interested. Talk about the future or afterlife (but only about heaven. not hell) That might make people interested. Different people have different ideas about the future. Talk about security and of having somebody to depend on in times of trouble. NEVER make them feel guilty about not knowing God. I don't believe that brings results. Just make them yearn for something they don't have (IF YOU HAVE IT), by sharing it with them as a personal choice for your own life.

Jambo! Keep praying for them and ask Jesus to reveal Himself to them in an unmistakable way.
Before I got saved I had a friend continually preach at me. I finally said that if God wanted me, he'd let me know. My friend took a bold step of faith and told me that God would do that and that I had to ask God to do something that would fulfill that request. Of course I asked God for something selfish to prove himself. At the time we were desparately trying to sell our home and did not have any offers or lookers after half a year. I asked God to sell our house, and the very next day we had an offer and a sale.
God had my full attention after that!

I think leading by example is the best first step.
In street lingo, you can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk? I know YOU can, and when they see your life and what your faith has done for you, then they will want to be part of it. .
