how do I argue Jesus vs. The Inner Earth Theory?

undefinedundefinedundefinedHelp.......I have got a friend that has introduced to to this thing they call the "the inner earth theory" Is anyone out there knowledgable about this at all? I have never even heard of it and frankly I am struggling with what to say about it. My friends told me to study up on it and I am not sure if i even want to subject myself to more theory.Anyone.....Someone ......Let me know please.

I did a google search and found a bunch of stuff about Inner Earth Theory/Hollow Earth Theory. Basically says that we, obviously live on the outer earth (the surface), but that instead of the earth having a core, it has a middle earth and inner earth (which both have living inhabitants), and also an inner sun which has been mistakenly identified as a molten core. Here's the link I went to, but there were plenty of them : http://www.v-j-enterprises.com/holearth.html . I don't get the connection to Jesus, though. The only thing I could find is that these inner earth inhabitants are living on a higher spiritual plane and communicate with their minds (telepathy). Believers in this theory sometimes propose that the Atlantians or the Mayans and the other highly advanced civilizations that have disappearred without a trace went to inhabit inner earth (which has entrances at the north and south poles).

Given this information I would say that this falls firmly into the category of far-fetched.... (And I'm being kind here.....)

There is plenty of scientific data to refute this idea. The existence of volcano's alone should be enough to call it into question....

This may not help...

I have found that people with some "out there" ideas are often in doubt when it comes to scripture. They don't belive it, one way or the other, and claim that it cannot be proven.

Have them pickup a book called "The Case For Christ" by Lee Stroble. He is a former Atheist, turned Christian. Also, challenge them to find ANY Atherists who have proved the Bible wrong. You'll have them scratching their heads...

Good recomendation. I have yet to read that particular book but I recently finished "A Case for Faith" by the same author.

That would be a good one as well IMO.

I believe he did "The Case for Christ" first, which lists all his findings as an Atheist. The "Case for Faith" is a follow-up, I believe, that he wrote after his conversion. I have not read Case for Faith.

Hmmmm. I'm not sure.

Regardless, each book answers skeptics questions and can easily stand on its own.
