Some people are born with physic (i don't know how to spell the thing, but i think its around here), like able to read mind, heal others, or control things. (Sound like x-men huh!)
Some people pratice 'black-magic' like curse ( I think curse is the only black-magic, but i may be wrong)
Some religion also practice 'white-magic' like lavitate, putting oneself in hot oil without getting hurt, walking over hot coal without getting hurt.
Scientist shun theses by saying that they are fake and tricks, but after i study it, i found out that all this people who pratice and pocces magic are commen people with no high education. It is quite immpossible for them to have the scientific knowledge to fake all this!

After the long story, my question is very simple. What is your view as a Christian on this supernatural powers?

I believe that they are either "gifts of the spirit" given to God to chosen believers, or they come from demonic entities, we, by our own power do not have the abiblity to perform those things, but we can be empowered to do so.

If the person doing it is a christian and gives the glory to God, doesn't take credit from it, and clearly states that he/she is doing it in the name of Jesus, it's most likelly a gifted follower of God. btw, a real follower of Christ will never charge money for it.

The Devil doesn't make himself know to people as a bad guy, he has power in this earth and he can perform wonders and do crazy things that might look beatifull and holy, like white magic and spiritism. It's only there to draw your attention from Jesus.

Hi ruixiangz!

Well, I don't know much about this stuff, but I know that Satan can make these things happen as well as God can. I think I'll check some things out an send you a PM, ok?

God Bless!

Well I believe the Bible says that they are definite powers... but not appropriate for a follower of God. Our hope and strength should come from God alone, not a sorceror....

Deuteronomy 18:10
"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,

Deuteronomy 18:14
"For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you to do so.

Notice that he never denies that the powers are there... he just says a follower of God ought not to practice them.

On a side note... I believe that there are demonic entities behind many of these "powers." But I also believe that God is much more in control than any of these demons will ever be... so if I want to know the future... I just go pray to God and ask Him to make it what He wants it to be and then I don't need to worry about whether "you will grow old and rich" I will grow up however God wants me to and whatever He wants is what I want too.

Does that answer your question? Hope so. :D Have a great day!

walking on coals and that kinda thing isnt magick or witchcraft, it probably has more to do with chi. The bible verse forbids the practice of witchcraft but not of telepathic studies and the such, the verse is basically forbids any supernatural pracice that isnt in the name of God...but there are some magickal groups who practice in the name of God.

You can do or know almost anything through the communication of your soul with demons or the holy spirit. I know a guy who is very in touch with the holy spirity, and last time I talked to him at church (which was unfortunately quite a while ago) he told me he was in the process of making a sword in the holy spirit. I know it sounds weird, but for some reason this guy enjoys making his own swords. He told me that this sword he is making in the holy spirt is, by far, the most beautiful sword he has ever made. Everybody has their own beautiful gifts. All we need to do is discover them!

Well I've personally experienced mental telepathy. I have no idea where it comes from, but it eventually led me to God. Each of my "conversations" with people I had on a regular basis (which came from me, I know, and not the others because none of them had ever experienced it before) gave me a Christian message, since they were all strong believers, at a time I wasn't Christian. I don't talk about it to others in case people don't believe me or want to convince me that it's evil or sinfull, but I never sought to read anyone's mind, it came to me on it's own, and it's the only thing that made me consider powers beyond my own control and where they came from. Until then I never thought much about miracles, just considerd them flukes of nature.

I think what most people said to you is right on target. While God has powers, so does the devil. If one uses the forces of darkness, they are inviting the devil to use them and it eventually backfires into the devil taking possession of them. God, on the other hand, has gifts for us to use for His glory. We can have words of knowledge (knowing something about a stranger in order to guide them), super natural healing, prophetic (knowing about the move of God before it happens- to correct or encourage the christian community), intercession (prayer warriors that head off desaster before it happens, and shanges situation through the power of prayer), the gift of faith (being able to believe God for supernatural provision like a car, food, etc.) and much, much more. Satan's abilities always are a counterfeit to what God has. It is designed to take you away from trusting in God, and trusting in yours or anyone else's ability instead. But, if we pursue God, we can do miraculous things like watch legs grow back, or eyes being healed or crippled people walking. It's yours to pursue.

back when I was around 13 or 14 I went to see a woman who apparently spoke to your angels, and at the time I was not really spiritual or religious. However, she had dates times and places that were a bit mind boggling. She also kept talking about my so called brother, and i kept telling her I don't have a brother, low and behold a few years later my mother tells me that I do, we ended up meeting and what she said was true. Many people tell me that this was of the devil, and I agree that it is not for a Christian to do, one reason is because it's not based on faith, and really why should we know the future? but the strange thing is, she kept saying to read the bible and become more spiritual. I guess that could come from a demon, but that's my story

do you know how to get in touch with your guardian angel ?? ^_^

I've heard of many different ways. I feel God's presence in my life and know how to contact him. If any intervention was to happen with my guardian angels, it wouldn't be on my part, although I have had some interesting experiences in my life

Christians believe that the supernatural is real. This does not however mean that every unexplained event is supernatural. It could be a natural thing beyond our knowledge to explain at this time.
If it is indeed supernatural, then there are cautions given in the bible about exploring the supernatural in a non-christian or an anti-christian way. The bible does not teach a neutral supernatural realm. It teaches a supernatural realm at war. A third of the angels rebelled and went with lucifer (the devil) and fight against God. Now that is a lost cause!!
Anyway, bottom-line. The bible teaches that there are personalities which are controlling/battling over the supernatural. Involving yourself in the supernatural brings you into contact with spirits.
Be careful about how you explore the supernatural. There are angels there to help us but there are also evil spirits there. The supernatural can be very interesting, espeacially if you stumble unto the real thing and not just hype. This is true whether it is the Spirit of God or an evil spirit. Best to find a good church where the supernatural keeps your interest in a good way.

Live in a state of grace, pray, and listen.
I am good friends with two people who have been told what to do from "another voice," listened to it, and later found out that it saved their lives.
