  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was at home the day of my due date and I had been having contractions all day. They didn't really pick up till later that night. It was about 2 in the morning when they started really getting stronger to where they were almost unbearable and I was about to get up and try to move around when I felt a gush all of a sudden and I got up to go to the bathroom and as I was walking or should I say nearly crawling across the floor I had another contraction and this time it was a river pouring over the bathroom floor. Needless to say I rushed to the hospital and I had my baby girl that day (September Friday the 13th:cool: ) at 7.10pm. man it was a looooonnnng day but well worth it.:amen:

I can't vote, it happened different for each child. The first, I was at home and it just started on it's own. The second, my OB (I am in germany and he was german) asked me if I wanted to have the baby that day, then when I was getting up, he said, "You will have the baby today". I don't know what he did, but it was uncomfortable, and as I was walking out, I started having contractions.

It sounds like he stripped your membranes.

I went into labor spontaneously with both kids.
Yeah, both times my doctors stripped my membranes and both times within 24 hours I went into labor.

stripping membranes- yuck. The doc did that with my first one. It REALLY hurt and 2 weeks later, I was still pregnant. My water broke at a restaurant, and 12 hours later I still didn't have any contractions. (Dan has had his own plan since the womb!) 8 hours of pitocin and finally that kid made his appearance

I was asleep and my alarm went off, I woke up to get ready to go to my doctors appointment to get scedual in to be induced but I woke up at 7am having mild cramp like feeling, by the time my mom got to my apartment, they was about 10mins apart, I told mom that I was hurting a bit, not too bad just a bit, so we got in her car and went to the doctor office, by this time they where 5min apart, mom looked at me and said "I think your in labor" So I went up to the Office window and told the reciptionest I think that I'm in labor, she told me to go over to the hospital and Dr. Sprot would be over soon. I went over and sure enough it was labor and by 7pm they came in and told me I would have to have an emergency c-section by 7:24pm Seth Maurice was born, 7lbs 4oz 20 1/2 inches long :)...

I am so lucky to have nagging back-aches and crampiness. I always seem to move along faster with this than full belly contractions, interesting enough. Now, if only we could get the whole timing thing right, and do it at 38-40 weeks, that would be great. lol

I had very mild contractions a couple of days before my due date. I went to sleep and at about 5 am my waters broke. My had to have a c-section in the end though as my daughter was distressed (myconium sp.. was present in the water).
