Can we? Should we?

The 'should we' is a difficult question. Prior to an invasion or other military operation, the news was full of reasons for taking action. And only later did many of the reasons turn out to have been mistaken.

Can we?

I think we can and I'll refer to just one example. Before the invasion of Iraq the countries where the population was firmly against joining the war sent just token support, and were counted in the 'Coalition of the Willing' (meaning; 'unwilling').

My guess is if everyone did that, then a different solution would have been found.

In the age of satan, why are you seeking for something that will not happen. The age of no wars will be the age of The Messiah. As long as satan is lose and roaming he will inspire war.

Just look at what happens when satan is released after his 1000 year captivity, what the first thing he does, unite unbelievers in war against God

This is one problem where the solution to the problem may be the worse than the problem. Basically dictators etc. have the ability to game the system if you try to put safe guards in place. If they know where the exact line in the sand is they come within a inch of crossing it and stop, wait a while for you to let your guard down, then rinse and repeat. This is this the sort of thing that China is doing with it's "Salami Slicing" tactic of trying to claim small slices of territory little by little for itself, it also was what Hitler did in a much more dramatic way by taking territories like the Sudeten Land, Austria, the rest of Czechoslovakia etc. until he bit off a little more than he could chew taking Poland and setting of World War II.

It also is the antithesis to all the fears of Trump. Lots of people feared Trump, that he was an erratic fire brand and could/would start a war but he in fact was more peaceful than Noble Peace Prize winning president Barak Hussein Obama who not only upped drone strikes, missile strikes, air sorties, but also invaded a few new countries we didn't need to go after allegedly under the advice of a history professor.
But anyway in many way having people not know where you "line in the sand" actually helps because people are afraid to test your boundaries in a really bold way.

Anyway I think setting up safe guards like this may be counter productive. Not only that but we elect leaders to lead. A good leader can act well in an emergency, and make things better. I also think that people should face the brunt of their bad decisions. If someone like Biden, who has a lot of questionable stuff going on right now makes bad decisions, I think the country should face the ramifications of those decisions maybe that will help people be wiser and not just pick someone who seems the opposite of the previous guy in office.

By living Godly and holy lives which Peter tells us speeds up the coming day of judgement which frees this universe from all corruption:
2 Peter 3:11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to conduct yourselves in holiness and godliness 12 as you anticipate and hasten (speed up) the coming of the day of God, when the heavens will be destroyed by fire and the elements will melt in the heat.13 But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

It is the sinfulness of the good seed that forces the judgement to be postponed so they will not be pulled up with the weeds, Matt 13:27-30, and only when they are mature in holiness will the angelic harvesters be called. No peace on earth until the last sinful elect repents.

Truth is the first casualty of war.

Prior to the invasion of Iraq someone was sending anthrax through the mail. Some people died. A post office in SW DC was closed for cleaning. U.S. intelligence officials said the anthrax must have been from a national government unit. No amateur could do this. The evening news showed satellite photos of an alleged anthrax factory in Iraq. It was war with Iraq over alleged weapons of mass destruction after that. After the invasion it was discovered the “anthrax factory” in Iraq was a food processing unit. A mad U.S. Dept. of Defense scientist was arrested for sending the anthrax through the mail.

In 1964 there were two Gulf of Tonkin incidents alleged to be naval combat between U.S. and North Vietnamese gun boats. At least one of the incidents was fabricated. This Gulf of Tonkin report was used as an excuse for increased military involvement in Vietnam.

41% of post 9-11-2001 veterans of foreign wars have disabilities rated by the Veteran’s Administration (2019).

Send them to the front lines.

A bit of disincentive might be a good idea. Centuries ago kings rode in front of the army which made them think about whether the battle was worth the risk.

How is this the age of Satan? this is one of the most peaceful times in human history.

People forget how things were before WW2, you know, the second global war that saw 73 million get massacred in a 6 year time span, not the first one where we lost another 8 million souls to slaughter.

Or let's remember when Genghis Khan murdered 10% of the world population.

There are a lot more bloody time periods than the one we live in today, which had far more vices, massively more cruelty, and human life was cheaper than food in places. This may not be the best we've had it ever, but it is definitely on that side of the spectrum.

Compare this age to the coming Messianic age, complete opposite in comparison.

Satan is in the possession of the kingdoms of the world and will eventually offer these to his right hand man (the man of sin, king of the north, the beast out of the sea they are all the same person) in turn for worship.

We can't compare it to an age that doesn't exist. The coming age could be made of horrors or could have unforseen prosperity. Though things indicate the former if we aren't careful.

If you want to prevent them from starting wars...the only path to that is to foster a more libertarian mincarchist "night-watchmen" state.

Where the government is funded only to the degree that they can provide courts, and just enough enforcement to prevent violations of what the libertarians call the "NAP" (non-aggression principle).

Basically, a government so tiny that the only purpose it's capable of serving is protection from physical aggression, theft, breach of contract, fraud, and enforcing property laws...and nothing more.

...but that's not going to fly with most people, because most people (even conservatives) still want at least some very basic forms of social safety nets (like roads, a fire department, etc...)

The double-edged sword is that in a nation that has enough funding to fund all of the other entitlements, has enough money and bureaucracy to shuffle funds around for their pet project and cronies.

With regards to wars and interventionist military, that pitfall is especially true when you have a nation with as many people are ours (IE: lots of eligible people who can be propagandized into joining a military force, that can become big enough to meddle). That's the reason why many of the smaller developed nations haven't fallen into that trap, they simply don't have enough people to build a military big enough to engage in interventionism.

The coming age will be the Messianic age, The Bible gives some information on this time. Near perfect environment, people live way past 100, no birth defects. Basically what is common in this age will not be common or non existent in the Messianic.

Anyone who votes to go to war should lead the charge from the front.

A disincentive would be good before they waste our money and kill our sons.

Instead, the present system gives them incentives:

1 The military-industrial complex which supplies politicians with money for their elections and other things, gets money from every war, and the longer the war lasts, the more money they make.

2 The public rewards Presidents for starting wars with a big surge in approval ratings.
