Well, didn't the Jesuits get thrown out of Europe & haven't they been disbanded or barred or something in more modern times, & haven't they just recently been considered for disbanding again?

I would agree.
Thankfully, the Catholic Church does not contradict scripture!
If that were the case all of Christianity would be Catholic including the Orthodox
It was at one point, and it will be again.
All those called by the name of Christ are indeed disciples. Then why do so many sincere Christians disagree about very central tenets of the faith?
The bible tells us that he will lead his disciples into all truth, not us.
We are instructed to listen to those he sent and to obey his commandments, which we learn from his disciples. All those whom are Christs have the annointing of Christ Spirit within them. For those who do not are none of His. This is why Jesus says one must be born again. We have only one mediator between us and the Father and this is Christ.
dunno, but isn't that kind of an "internal thing"
(unless you still consider yourself RCatholic)
or maybe lookin at the internal things of the other guy's place is just a hangover from US foreign policy
It's mostly just the entire concept. There's a bit of a disagreement so somebody comes up with a doctrine that allows you to call one group heretics and get rid of them. Most doctrines to do with Christology, or salvation or the Trinity or any other divine mystery of faith where thinking we can understand God is just vanity would be the main culprits in my eyes. Can you give an example of a doctrine which is designed to divide us?
It would be nice if it were just an internal affair, but they were involving themselves in political intrigues as well as counter-reformationist efforts.dunno, but isn't that kind of an "internal thing"

There is a distinction:
John 17
Jesus Prays for Himself
1After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6"I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your namethe name you gave meso that they may be one as we are one....
17Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Wanna make a poll thread on thatIf that were the case all of Christianity would be Catholic including the Orthodox

It would be nice if it were just an internal affair, but they were involving themselves in political intrigues as well as counter-reformationist efforts.
They are one of the organizing forces with a global agenda. They, along with banksters are the some of the first people we all should demand transparency from.Actually, a lot of today's Jesuits are dissenters from Catholic doctrine. They are the last people that protestants should worry about
Does one have to join Roman Catholicism to teach and practice that?Or Christian teaching.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Who said there was anything wrong with it?What's wrong with a Catholic being involved in counter-reformationist efforts?
I'm involved in one right now as a matter of fact!
It would be nice if it were just an internal affair, but they were involving themselves in political intrigues as well as counter-reformationist efforts.
