The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

I am tired, but fine. I'm visiting friends for break. I have ten more days until I have to go back home. I pray it will go by very slow.

I have spoken about this with my counselor and she says that grieving is quite normal when overcoming abuse. I haven't gone through the grieving process yet, but I guess I will do at some point. I will be grieving because I lost my childhood. My childhood was taken away from me. Childhood is seen as the most improtant time of your life as this is when you learn alot about life. Well, I didn't have one. It's like losing a part of me.
Iam ok today,the day before yesterday was sooo hard.....but i survived!
