  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

how about thar Pillar, eh?

I saw them live at Power of One - it was good.

I haven't heard any of their CDs or anything, but from what I've heard on the radio they sound a lot different--better--live than not. Maybe that's just me. But I like them. I like... hm, I don't know what it's called. "Further From Myself," maybe? Yeah. That's a good song. And all the rest of their songs... I liked their cover of Sunday Bloody Sunday too.

I loved thier first album -Above- (saw then at Festival Con Dios, also)

Thier 2nd album was a bit less....bold (speaking of thier JESUS FREAK factor, not the music itself)

In my humble opinion, the 3rd album - was nearly a sell-out album. There is not a single use of the Name; Jesus & the references to God are veiled, at best.

Sorry, like I said, I loved the 1st album, liked the 2nd, but I don't even put the 3rd in my CD player. It is as though they became "Christians in a band" instead of a "Christian band"

Just my opinion, tho.

God bless yas!
