  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just watched Hotel Rwanda with my roomate and i have to say it was the best and one of the most emotional movies i have ever seen. if you have not seen it yet, i definatley reccomend it. Don Cheadle, one of my favorite actors, deserved the Oscar for this movie. it was absolutley amazing.

I thought that it was a powerful movie that dealt a lot with our obligations as humans to other, sufferign human sand the plight that they are experiencing. It was an important film to watch because it really did represent the suffering that can exist in the world, and the inefficiency in handling it.

It really struck on the absurdity of the world in general at certain parts (you know what I am talking about).

It was a terrific movie.

My roommate watched this by himself while I was off working out or something and recommended it. I gathered together about 4 girls to watch it with me and by the end of the movie 3 had left because they were so emotional about the movie. I myself and the final girl were both left saying "Wow..." at the end - an amazing movie and so terrifically moving to portray the suffering and terror survived by those portrayed. I very highly recommend it as well.

It's the kind of movie that really makes you want to re-think how you live your life and the things you complain about.

I have the DVD. You get to see the real Paul Rusesabagina and hear his commentary about the events that took place. It helps to bring the reality of the massacre to a whole new level.

Hotel Rwanda was a great a movie and it is one of those top emotional movies for me, and I usually am indifferent when it comes to movies that are supposed to bring on emotion. I think along with Crash, they are the two best movies I've seen in the past month.

i think i've told more people about this film than any film i've seen so far, even the Passion of the Christ which speaks for itself.i feel almost compelled to tell my friends to watch hotel rwanda so they know and see what happened, whats still probably a threat with these 2 tribes and to be thankful for living in america.the actor don cheadle was so believable he puts you right there, and right there was a scary, sad and horrible feeling.i too wept.especially the bus scene,as some could go and others left behind. a 10 on the film scale.

I've wanted to see it, but I'm currently trapped in Broken Hill, and it won't come here until DVD or video. :( I never know how to feel about genocide films, it is certainly hard to capture it's scope on film without becoming stereotypical or biased about it. But I still want to see it.
