  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We didn't get to tour ours because I waited until 2 months before Justin was born and then all their saturdays were booked up (sat. was the only day they allowed tours). I was disappointed, but I ended up in there twice the week I had him, so I had a pretty good idea as to how it was laid out....our room was huge, too! It had a rocking chair, two recliners, and a couch....and then I had plenty of room for me to have my space, too! Let's just say at one point I had about 15 people in my room and no one invaded my space!!!

You are almost there, yea!!!

I know! I'm so excited :)

Actually seeing the hospital rooms made everything seem so much more real to me. I'm still pretty shocked that I only have a few weeks left -- it seems like this pregnancy has lasted for EVER ;) :)

We did pre-registration at the end of the tour so I got the paperwork out of the way, which was nice.

Seventeen nurses, Linnis!!?? Wow...

Well, I went to orientation two weeks before my first birth center appointment and that included a tour. I love it there. The waiting room feels like a study (big library to borrow from in there), the exam rooms feel like rooms in your home, only with an exam table and the birthing rooms are very similar to cozy bedrooms with colorful bedspreads, a desk and pictures lining the walls. I really like it there a lot. :) Oh, and they have a kitchen too with a table, chairs and refrigerator. That's where Hubby will wait when I need to labor by myself or he just needs a break from the emotional mommy to be.

I love my maternity center, I get to LDRP in it, so I never have to leave my room. The C-section rooms are a bit smaller than the birthing rooms, but when I had my daughter that was the only room open at the time, the month Christian was born there were over 380 babies born, just at that hospital. The day after I had Christian 19 women were discharged with their newborns. I am praying that May will be much less busy.

I am going to be giving birth at the same hospital that I did with Christian, it was also the same hospital I was born in and used to work in.
