Getting back to the subject of this thread - here's an overview of all Joel's prophecies.
Hint: it ain't influenced by Nicholas Cage's CME in "Knowing".
I thought that was pretty good.

I think it's great how they point out the way the 7's are INSIDE each other like Matryoshka dolls rather than in sequence. That's John's primary visual aid that shows Revelation is thematic, not linear - describing history, not prescribing a specific sequence of events in the future.

All of the Bible prophesies were not 'thematic', why must they change?
The Prophesies about Jesus first Advent were literal, they happened as stated by the Prophets.

Revelation, from Rev 6 onward is all about actual world events. The first five Seals are operational now, proved by the Christian martyrs of the Fifth Seal, the millions killed since Stephen.
I thought that was pretty good.
I thought they were pretty rubbish.
They are aimed at ignorant people who can't be bothered to read the Prophesies for themselves. They give a very biased and preterist view of the prophesies.

Because John wanted to change them.

The Prophesies about Jesus first Advent were literal, they happened as stated by the Prophets.
Jesus was a lion?
Jesus was a lamb?
Literal?

He was a sacrifice.

Revelation, from Rev 6 onward is all about actual world events.
Oh for goodness sake - mere assertion is not theology.
Learn how to even begin to have an adult theological conversation will you?

The first five Seals are operational now,
No, no that's where you are gravely wrong.
We are now in the time of the pink monkeys, when the Nostradamus predicted the wing-wong.
Don't laugh - I have asserted this!

I thought they were pretty rubbish.
I think you're interpretation of plagues of locusts as a CME is pretty rubbish, especially as it's influenced by a Nicholas Cage movie.

They are aimed at ignorant people who can't be bothered to read the Prophesies for themselves.
Well, we all know YOU know how to read the prophets for YOURSELF - you've certainly done whatever you feel like doing to them! Original context, language, history, culture and audience just don't matter - you've got a Nicholas Cage movie to insert all over them!

They give a very biased and preterist view of the prophesies.
Oh for goodness sake! Call me a Preterist again and I'll get the moderators in here.
Dude - in theological circles - Preterist is practically swearing!
I'm a Partial Preterist - and proud of it.

Anyway, I take comfort in the fact that both videos have about 4 MILLION views!

How many visitors do you get to your weirdo CME website, 4?
Maybe if you stopped bagging theology and got a Phd someone might listen to you?

What Joel 2:1-11 describes is quite obviously not a locust attack. They are only mentioned in Joel 1:4, as past or as a metaphor for destruction.

Your dismissal of the idea that Joel is referring to a sunstrike of superheated plasma, is just made out of ignorance and an obvious lack of understanding of how all the prophesies about the Lord's terrible Day of vengeance and wrath will change the world and commence all the end time events, leading up to the glorious Return of Jesus.

BTW, I have seen the movie 2012, Nicholas Cage didn't; couldn't show the half of what really will happen!
Wait for the Day! Isaiah 34:1-8

I'm sorry - but what Phd in ancient Hebrew and Hebrew writing do you have? Hebrew history? Apocalyptic writing? Hermeneutics? Anything?

Your dismissal of the idea that Joel is referring to a sunstrike of superheated plasma, is just made out of ignorance
I'm not the one dismissing it - the text is - and the modern bible scholars with the ancient Hebrew language and history and hermeneutics under their belt as Phd's are. You're the one shoving a modern scientific concept that is UTTERLY ALIEN to the original audience - all over the passage.

Locusts were terrifying. They ate your crops, and you starved to death. There was no international trade. The condition of your land meant whether you lived or died.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Deal with it.
2026 isn't going to happen!

and an obvious lack of understanding
Ah, but you said it wasn't obvious because it all came from your vision, remember?
I've seen you tell other members here that you 'couldn't write your website' and that it had to come from God, remember? And yet now it's 'obvious'.

If it were obvious, I would believe it.
If it were, under the Sola Scriptura doctrines I hold to - I would defend it.

But seriously - pull the other leg, it plays The Knowing soundtrack! ;-)
