  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I absolutely love horses. I think they are the most beautiful animals.

When I was young my grandfather got me my first horse, I may have been about four. Actually think it was a pony. Her name was Gingerella, she was the best little girl. Then when I was older, like eight my grandpa got me two, a sorrel pony named Little Bit and a half quarter horse named Blackie. I really loved my horses.

We moved away and I had to get rid of my horsies. So much time had passed and I begged for a horse. I prayed every night that God would send me a horse. Finally when I got old enough, I went to an aution and bought a horse. She was the most beautiful arabian mare, five years old.

I had never been to an aution before, couldnt understand a thing the man was saying. I stopped the man twice to ask the price and place my bid. People stopped bidding on my horse after the second time. I got her for $360 My mom came in and I ran over to her all excited saying I got a horse, I got a horse!!!! I could hear the people laughing, didnt care though, after all those years I finally got my dream.

I knew she was meant for me when the auctioneer said she shook hands, I bought her without ever seeing her. Mom and I walked out to find her. She was soooo pretty. A dapple gray mare. (Her name is Serena).

Out of all the horses I have known and owned, she was the best. It was like having a dog personality that you could ride. She loved to play with me and my brothers. Oh and she just loved to show off. She would perk her ears, arch her neck up and nicker, and that tail would go up- then she would prance side stepping around the corral. Man she was gorgeous.

I had to get rid of her when I got married. We had an apartment in town. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, it was like giving up my child.

Enjoy your baby. Horses are just the best!!!!

I own 3 horses, Kelly (QH pony mare) Lacey (Appy mare) and Sierra, a bs Pinto. Lacey is my trail mount....lol, that horse would excel at endurance. I never cease to be amazed with her. I'd like to do games, or basically anything besides pleasure classes. ;) There's not a whole lot of horse sports I'm not willing to try.

I started riding at 17. (8 years ago.) They're worth all the $$$ they take, and all the time as well. I can't imagine my life without them.

I am a retired Arabian Horse Breeder. Was a professional for 35 years although, got my first half-Arab in 1945 when I was only 9 years old. She was half quarter horse and I roped calves off her, tiny little thing that she was, She was a Palomino.
At any rate, my love for Arabians took over and that is what we ended up spending over half of our married life doing. Raise tons of babies and spent a lifetime in the Show ring.
I have one old mare left, the daughter of my Champion Stallion El Robal who we lost at 33 yrs old. The old mare is 23 and so far in perfect health.
