  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I own 3...Kelly, a QH pony mare, 10 years old, sorrel w/ a blaze and socks on the rear feet. She was my first horse, my all around super confident trail horse.
Lacey, a grade Appy mare, 6 years old, black varnish roan w/ a blaze. I hope to show her in open pleasure classes this summer.
Sierra, a bs Pinto (pretty much like your Paint) 5 years old, sorrel with a flaxen mane and tail, socks on diagonal feet, coronet bands on diagonals. She's my work in progress...a horse with huge trust issues. If all goes as planned I'll eventually use her for gaming.

I take lessons once a week from a wonderful trainer 45 min. from me. Once I get Coggins run I plan to start trailering Sierra and Lacey up there occasionally for lessons.

well we have 4 horses, one pony. AQHA mare and colt with TBred in there which stems from Music Mount. our oldest horse is Arab-tbred he's 18 and still being rode and used in shows with my daughter. our family horse is a standardbred-qh-appaloosa mix and by far the best horse on the planet :) the pony is just a pet with bad bones and sway hips but gets his brushing every day.

lol...nope! I have the best horse...my Appy. That horse has let kids ride her since she was 2, and still gives lessons occasionally. Only thing is she's arena bound...trails make her so insecure...poor kid!

I share a 13-year-old, 16.2 dark bay TB mare called Kizzy. She's not mine but her owner is only home at the weekends so I have sole charge of her during the week. She's gorgeous and has a lovely sweet character, I always enjoy riding her. She can be quite stubborn sometimes - like me! - and is fairly insecure when we ride out, but she always does her best to please me and we have a lot of fun together. In July when her owner comes back she is getting Kizzy a companion horse, so I will then be riding that one instead.

well, if you were closer than canada i could help you out in the horse search....but i can let you in on a secret....you can buy horses over the internet. most of ours came from wisconsin and nevada.there's no good standard site like ebay, so you need to be careful who you deal with and get a bit of luck.

shipping is quite reasonable (when you consider it is a horse, and they are driving a long ways, it's probably about as much as gas and the hours on the road)

if you do go to the internet for your horse search, be sure you know who you're doing business with, and for long distance stuff, it's usually all under contract.....

Where at in Wisconsin?

As far as the Internet, I sold a horse that way. I hate selling, period. I never can screen the buyers good enough for my liking. I found out this last summer that the one I sold had spent a grand total of 2-3 months with the gal I sold her to. And yeah...it bothered me. Call me strange.

I have two wonderful ones!!
Juan is a 16 year old sorrel Quarter Horse. He is an ex-racer, and he has Man O' War in his bloodlines, which I think is awesome because he was always my favorite. War Admiral is in there too. :D

Domino is a 4 year old black and white overo Paint. He is going in for training next month. He is an awesome horse. I can't wait to ride him.

I don't ride for showing or anything, just for fun. I just love being around them as much as possible.

PLEASE click here and help me with the conversation with Michael Tait!! http://www.dctalkunite.com/chat/index.php?referid=1622

Hey does any one know when the equestrian season begins I hope it is soon I love to watch it on tv.

Do you get RFDTV? They have dressage on there regularly, as well as some excellent programs by the likes of Clinton Anderson, Parelli, etc.

OLN carries showjumping infrequently throughout the summer...other then that the major sports networks don't carry alot. grrr!
