The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

not every visit to the hospital is the same. but anyhow, you are in the USA... look up a crisis number. ask them for alternitive services. 
my exsperiance is that every time you visit the hospital: gives the professional a look at your trigger patterns, and they can better determine how to not only help you, but help you learn to manage your symptoms. xo

I don't know what to say... Do you have anyone you can trust to talk to? Listening to happy music helps me sometimes, maybe it can help you too? Remember, God is always there.

I have to agree with goldenviolet. I know hospitals aren't fun, but everytime I went I learned something new about my disorder as well as about myself. The trick is when you go to the hospital don't worry about the other patients or let them get to you. You are there for you and you are there to get help. You have to focus on that and attend all the group sessions. I know when you are in the state you are in the other patients can get to you, because some of them are worse off than you. Just remember they are sick too.
If you still don't want to go to the hospital, then please call one of the hotline numbers and let them help you. Or call your therapst and make an emergency appointment. And if you don't have a therapist I would recommend finding one to help you get through this.. We are all praying for you!!! And remember you are not alone. Most of us here in these forums have been where you are at. And though we can't offer professional advice, we can share what worked or is working for us.
