I stared at the large double doors before me. The end of my journey was just the beginning.

The floorboards creaked in the silence, as if to say, "Run! Away from here!!", but I didn't.

I stared at the dusty, leather-bound book before me. I never realized that book would consume the rest of my life.

Here are first lines from some of my stories. Some are a little over the word limit.

I maintain that it all came about because of the rain.
