  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Matthew 13:57 (NIV)

Only in his hometown and in his own household is a prophet without honor

One of the first signs of true discipleship is rejection by family and friends and lack of honor in one's community. Growing up the Lord Jesus probably had a lot of friends. He must have been highly respected for His quick wit and intellect (Luke 2:47, Luke 4:22-23). Then how is it possible for that admiration to turn into sudden hate and revulsion (Luke 4:28)? There's something deep within a human soul that despises the sovereignty and holiness of the Almighty God. A man may admire pious platitudes, but tell him that he's a sinner and he'll loath you intensely. A true disciple faces a similar situation after conversion. Once greatly loved by his friends, he'll be intensely hated after conversion. If this is happening to you, rejoice that your name is written in the lamb's book of life (Rev 13:8).
