Oooh, I'd love that forum! Admittedly I'd do more reading than posting (other than questions). I spent most of my life in the arctic and just moved to warmer climes last summer. Hoping to have a garden so big it'll pass as a farm in a few years. (gonna build up to it - 48 acres of forest on a lake to play with. 
)

I'm working my way there. I do not enjoy town life. LOL
Of course, living in Montana (and having traveled quite a bit) I suppose town life is a relative term.

Well, that makes me feel a little better. I was sure someone else on CF was interested rural life. Gardens, farming, farm animals, tractors. No one understands it like someone who has either been there or starting out. Things that are available to city dwellers aren't always available to us. Not to mention no movie theaters - we have crickets and wild life. If there is a problem that needs solving no one understands it like us country folk.

We don't have a homesteading forum, but we have a Homes and Gardens forum.

I think having a place where homesteading/farming could be discussed is a cool idea - most places are rural vs cities maybe make a forum called "rural living" which would be small town life as well as farming and other rural living issues - it would a host of different issues - going green is a little different than homesteading.
