The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I've listened to this song over and over today. My mom passed away on Tuesday. The visitation is tomorrow, and her funeral is on Saturday. Yes, God will give us the strength that we need. I feel his wonderful peace right now.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I lost mine when I was 19 years old and I miss her very much. You said you would like a support group, I wonder if you googled grief support and your city maybe something would come up.Hospice may know of something as well. This is a very hard time even for a christian, but as as christian we know we will see our loved ones again. I lost my sister 10 years ago the Jan. I have had dreams of her and I know for a fact where she is. You mother is singing with the angels, she is with Christ. Rest in knowing she is ok. It would be very good to find a group, especially this first year. If you need to talk I am here, feel free to pm me anytime.

Wow. It has already been two weeks since Mom died. I have some good days and some bad days. Thankfully, there are more good than bad. I want to make a scrapbook (or journal, of sorts) of the last two years...to document her battle. I have sent so many emails and made so many posts about her treatments during this time. I want to put them together so that I can look back over the journey. I also want to make a PowerPoint memorial.
