• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Holy Bodies

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live." Romans 8: 11 KJV

Those of us whom God called to be alive in Christ have deserted our old fleshly ways.. but not our bodies. God never told us to destroy our bodies, but to destroy the practices of it. What then is the body usefull for?

God not only wants to fill your soul but your body as well. Sometimes we get it mixed up and think that our bodies are useless to God and only considered as an obstruction to our Christian walk. Not true!

Yes, before I was a Christian my body was a slave to sin and I followed after it. Then when I was saved and the Spirit of the Lord entered me, He made my body alive to be the service of God.

Believer - Don't let Satan play another trick on you, your body as well as your soul is alive in Christ and no longer enslaved by sin. Stop making the body your enemy, if you do, you will become your own enemy!

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1

Beloved Christians, love your body (Ephesians 5:28), since it is made pure (Hebrews 10:22)

stop masturbating, lusting, sleeping with others, cheating on your spouse, over eating, drinking, and smoking - you will be held accountable for it all in the judgement seat

2 Cor 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

what I write here comes from my own experience so that I would tell it to you and that you would also let the Holy Spirit work in your life. Amen.
