To me it isn't an issue of who these Hollywood "stars" are supporting, but an issue of why their opinion matters at all. Who cares about what they have to say? What makes their opinion any more important than Joe Blow on the street? Usually they end up making idiotic statements that only ends up making them look stupid and in the end does nothing to help their candidate. Can you believe what Whoopi Goldberg said to John McCain on her morning show?

I just re-listened to the clip.

Matt Damon said, "She's facing down Vladimir Putin".
Even if he did say that, the criticism still remains.
However he didn't say it.
The whole world knows that Putin is still in charge of Russia, by him stepping down from presidency (due to the term limit) and taking a PM position and then appointing that puppet Medvedev, he still has the power.
He still projects his voice to the country and makes those decisions, that could endanger everyone else.
