  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

yes if you go to the youth for christ holiday website http://www.yfc.co.uk/residentials they run good christian camps. I recommend East Coast Camp, I've volunteered there before and it's great fun, particularly geared to your age group and this year for the first year we're running 2weeks. As such the second week isn't quite full up and they ideally need another 40 campers. So it's worth looking at that one.

Hi ! Mother french and father american !
Is it a camp for do activities with christian teens, or a christian camp, where God is more important than activites ?
It is a camp run by a Christian organisation, so God is central, there is morning and evening sessions when the whole camp get together and worship, there will also be a bible talk at that time. Each morning each group (the 6-8people who share a tent) will have a bible study on the topic for the week. This is linked to the evening talk. Each day there are different activites you can choose to do, craft, bowling, swimming, watersports etc. One afternoon the whole camp travel to a nearby park for wide-games (these typically involve splitting the camp into 2 'tribes' and everyone gets very muddy). Another day the whole camp go to 'pleasure island' the nearby adventure theme park. Campers go round in groups with their leaders, I believe the cost is included in the price of the camp. We've also been known to have obstacles courses set up on site and have photo competitions. Although these games are not themed or based around God they are not unbiblical and are just fun. The idea is that it's a safe environment for christain children, although not all the campers are yet christian and that God is a central element.
