  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Answer these three questions and I will place you in a House. Where you will frolic and create mischief with your fellow miscreants.

Answer the following:

Favorite Crayola Crayon Color:

Favorite 80's Song:

What you could bring to the table if stranded on a desert island:

For extra fun I included a poll of where you think you should be placed

The following are the Houses you could be placed in:

Gryffindor values courage, bravery, loyalty, nerve and chivalry. Its mascot is the lion, and its colours are scarlet and gold. The Head of this house is the Transfiguration teacher, Minerva McGonagall, and the house ghost is Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, more commonly known as Nearly Headless Nick. According to Rowling, Gryffindor corresponds roughly to the element of fire. The founder of the house is Godric Gryffindor.

Hufflepuff values hard work, tolerance, loyalty, and fair play. The house mascot is the badger, and canary yellow and midnight black are its colours. The Head of this house is the Herbology teacher Pomona Sprout, and the house ghost is The Fat Friar. According to Rowling, Hufflepuff corresponds roughly to the element of earth. The founder of this house is Helga Hufflepuff.

Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. The house mascot is an eagle and the house colours are blue and bronze (blue and grey in the films). The head of this house is the Charms professor, Filius Flitwick, and the house ghost is The Grey Lady. According to Rowling, Ravenclaw corresponds roughly to the element of air. The founder of this house is Rowena Ravenclaw.

Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness. The house mascot of Slytherin is the serpent, and the house colours are green and silver. Salazar Slytherin founded the house. The Head of House is Severus Snape until near the end of the sixth book. Then, Horace Slughorn, the previous Head of House, comes out of retirement re-assuming authority. The ghost of Slytherin house is The Bloody Baron. According to Rowling, Slytherin corresponds roughly to the element of water.

Sweet. I think. :D

Thanks! :D
You're in the same one as me ^_^ yay!!

And if you go by what the descriptions of the houses actually are - it is sweet. And really sweet to think that someone would categorize you that way.

If you read the books, you'll recognize that in there, it seems to be more of "you don't belong anywhere else, we'll put you in hufflepuff and call you loyal to make you feel better" house

and I'm not bitter at all about the moment Amber told me I'm a hufflepuff :p

I want to go on record as saying that I have not read all the books or seen all the movies. When I had this idea of doing this sorting houses game, I immediately told Mary and she asked what house I would put her in. So I said Hufflepuff because it fits her and I think this house rocks. It is my second favorite one. In fact... here is how I personally rank the houses:

1. Slytherin
2. Hufflepuff
3. Gryffindor
4. Ravenclaw

So when I sort someone into Hufflepuff and they get upset because the books don't portray them as "cool", it makes no sense to me because I think they rock. Just sayin'

In my mind, being a loyal friend and a hardworker are amazing attributes for someone to have :p

I'm only being dramatic :p

I actually am quite flattered that you see me as a hufflepuff

But why exactly is slytherin first? I ask only because I have too much of the books in my head and would like to hear the non biased reasons for liking that house :p

I almost immediately put you into Slytherin but then I stopped and something nagged at me....

I can't not trust my instinct so you are officially:

Because I like the underdogs and the slightly dark-but-has-good-in-them types.

Slytherins are just as brave as Gryffindors, as smart as Ravenclaws and as loyal as Hufflepuffs, their downfall is that they shouldn't be allowed to congregate because "bad company corrupts good character" and they have this innate need to be the leader or call the shots. That is what messes them up, surrounded by similar personalities, only the bad traits in them are seen because the need to dominate overwhelms them.

If, say, you put them in a mixed group with other houses, I bet you would have the perfect teammate. Because as much as they like to lead, they like to win better and are perfectly capable of being loyal to the point where they put the good of their group ahead of themselves.

So that is why I like Slytherins the best. They have the potential to be the most amazing group.

And because I identify with their motto the most :p
