Hi all,

As some of you know, I work full time at Target as a cashier at the moment after I lost my job last June.

During this Halloween season, I noticed there is a Disney themed book called "Hocus Pocus Spell Book: A Guide to Spells, Potions, and Hexes, for the Aspiring Salem Witch."

I LOVED the first movie, and have seen the second.

Do you think they're (Disney) ACTIVELY promoting witchcraft?

God bless

I think they are actively promoting fantasy as they always have. But given other things they have put out and slipped in their entertainment, I do think there is a bit of seriousness to it given their wokeness.

More woke = the movie or show is cheesy in a bad way, and promotes evil = me boycotting the film.

I'm curious have you ever seen the original 1993 film?

I can understand why the second one can be "woke" because it has drag queens/spells in it.

I should, unless I have already seen it. The 1990s > 2020s when it comes to cinema.

I've seen it many, many times. Probably more time than I can count ;)

The original, in my opinion, is entirely innocent.

Unless you consider a Disney movie talking about a virgin lighting a candle to be scandalous.

Like you, I thought that first film a good one. I watch it every year. I have not seen the second one.

It's not as good as the first one. It's still kinda corny though.

The 90s were an innocent time for most Disney movies. All the way up until 2021 or so.

Ever heard of The Story of Menstruation (1946)? It was produced by Disney.

The educational health film? I seen it on TCM as a filler between the films.I thought the animation looked a lot like Disney!

Yup. It's on YouTube. It's very tasteful and educational. Most people probably aren't aware of it.

Sounds gross... Goes to show that Disney always had weird moments. I have not heard of this movie.
I promise it's not gross at all. It teaches Biology in a very tasteful manner.

Fascinating.

It's not weird at all. I mean....menstruation is part of nature, you know?

Sorry for going off topic, lol
