Soooo glad to have it back! My Red Wings have had a terrible start after losing Lidstrom and Stuart, but they finally played a great game tonight, beating Minnesota 5-3 at home.

Stereotype. While I definitely hate soccer...the Red Wings won 5-3 tonight. (They also lost the opening game of the season 6-0).

Just for some real-world perspective about scoring in the game. And in what other sport do you see two guys drop the gloves and go at it like hockey? It rules. Who else goes to the dressing room with a giant cut on their face, gets stitched up, and comes back to play right away?

There have been 144 games played so far this season in the NHL. One of those games ended 1-0. One. Only two teams are scoring fewer than 2 goals per game (and even then, just barely) and several teams are scoring between 4 and 5 goals per game.
