Hey, folks!

Well, here's my situation. I experienced a long dry spell in my relationship with God for many reasons. Long story short, I'm back in fellowship, but I'm still kind of unsure about certain things. I'm geared up to live for Him and all, but it's been awhile, so to speak, so I'm kind of treading certain ground with caution. I'm trying to keep extra care into what little thing comes out my mouth, I'm trying to stay walking and focused on the Lord's purpose for me (although I still don't know exactly what it is). I'm basically trying not to mess up. I know I'm being a bit vague wit the details, but hopefully someone can relate and help me out. I feel the joy of Jesus again, I feel His love and I want to spread it, but....... at the same time, I'm keeping extra tabs on myself to make sure I don't do anything remotely ungodly. It's like being free and having a snare on me at the same time. Suggestions? Comments?

*edit* maybe I should post this somewhere else as well. Don't know how frequently people visit this area of the forums.

I think I can relate. Are you praying? Do you know any fellow Christians that you can speak to (in the flesh)? Maybe things just aren't happening much yet. Know that God has a plan for your life, and I'm sure if you hang loose and just keep yourself close to the Lord, things'll come together. As for the messing up, Jesus knows you aren't perfect. If you want to be better for Him and want Him to help you to be so, you need only to ask Him. But remember to put prayer first before all things. Somehow being close to Him makes the other things a lot easier.

It's a good sign that you're back in fellowship, and you want to be the best you can be for the Lord. I'm sure He appreciates that.

LOL, again another person that sounds like me at some point in time. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Quiet Storm}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Anyway, I been through a dry storm myself. I love the words under your name in the side "never give up". Anyway, I can only say, trust in God. You got the joy, and that is good. You don't want to fall, and that is good. But don't worry about falling. Just think about serving God. LOL take no thought for tomarow. Todays evil is enough for today. In other words, don't worry yourself over the thought of falling, because you are still clay. You just need to know who to run to when you do fall. Just worship Him and serve Him. That is enough, As Soloman put it
Fear God and keep His commandments, for that is the whole duty of man.

I have found that the more I concentrate on what I won't do the more I am likely to do it. So God showd me a long time ago how to change that.

One day, through a prophetic word from someone who did not know me, God said, "Barbara, stop worrying so much about whether you're doing everything right or not. As long as your eyes are on ME, your feet will go exactly where I want them to go".

I have never forgotten that. . .it's been at least 30 years since and I have found that to never fail.

Our walk with Him is all about Him. . .it has nothing to do with us and what we feel or what we think. It's about Him. When we spend time in His presense, reading His Word and talking WITH Him, there is no room for any thoughts but Him.

Fellowship with like minded believers is important too. People who will encourage you in your walk with God. People who are strong themselves in their walk with God. You can't grow if most of your time is spent with those who are struggling too.

I hope you find this of some incouragement.

Greetings Quiet Storm
I read your post a few days ago and since then I have been before the Lord on your behalf. I have the feeling in my spirit that you feel that you are "walking on eggshells"
and that you fear that if you are not careful you may find yourself repeating the last situation.
The message I bring to you is to wait with patience,
Ephesians 3:12
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.(Jesus)
You are forgiven and you can walk tall only remember that if we forgive can we be forgiven.
A piece of Scripture: Matt 18: 21-35, will help and I pray that the Holy Spirit will illuminate your path.
If this post helps then give the glory to God.
SHALOM. :prayer:
