Hmmm. I STILL can't figure out how to search for a thread! Can somebody help me or am I to assume that searching on CF by key word or by a user name is still impossible?

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Up top left is a button that says: "Search/Bible"
That opens up to display:
Search Forums
Bible Verses
Search Thread Titles
Ignore all those, down to bottom of box - hit "Advanced Search."
That opens another box giving options for searching on a keyword of a thread title and choosing the forum you think it's in (or all if unsure.)
Any help?

This is really terrible. I always want to search for the last posts I've made whenever I log on. Looks like others would really use this option too.
Can we bring this to the attention of the guy running the show?

It's probably disabled because everytime you run a search on the forum, it puts a load on the database and if everyone was able to do that, it would probably slow the forums down. That's probably why there is a Google search for those who are not Site Supporters, so that it uses the computing power of Google's servers instead of CF's servers.The Lord is my banner said:You can use "Own Posts" or "Subscribed Threads" for that.
