  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

:wave:, I am a Newbie. I really enjoy the interaction on Christian forums for the most part. I have made several new friends on other boards and am looking so forward to doing the same here.

I am 49,married (31 y), have three children...30, 18, 16, and then there is BigFoot who is a 5 month old half lab & half blue heeler.

I have been a Christian since 1969, with the past 3 years being the best and most productive. I am very faithful to my church, where I am a greeter, sing in the choir, usher, do the bulletins, and also the Newsletter, and oh yea, my eldest son and I are leaders in our OutReach Movement.

I am disabled and struggling to obtain SS Disability. I have not worked since October 2004, and have only survived by God's grace and never ending love. Praise His Holy Name!

I am a mere mortal saved by God's offering of His son on the cross, and love sharing that love with others.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I'm so glad you found your way here! I hope to see you around. Come hang out with us in the Blessing Exchange. There are some really nice people in there. Pete_ hosts a Newbie thread there on Sunday. If you come and post at least 20 times he will give you 1000 blessings! You can use that to get your character all decked out and stuff! Be sure to tell him I sent you and I will get blessings to use to help the CF Pets too.
