 Not even close to it

I started watching it, expecting a very rosy spin on the matters from the preamble, so far.

Our real christian history is not as pretty as many care to actually deal with.

We seem to be exceptionally fond of colonization and take overs of populations and resources. In the Name of Jesus, of course.

There just weren't enough powerful Inca's, American Indians, Africans, Aborigine's or suitably powerful enough powerful gods on their sides to protect them or their heathen ways of life, huh?

I just wonder what we're going to end up doing with Chinese, Indians and Middle Easterners.

History is interesting but it is a story told by somebody rather than the bare facts as we have them and even the facts that we have can be presented by the source to serve the source's purposes. The bible itself is a source about our religion that is clearly written to serve purposes related to faith and doctrine and practises rather than a neutral presentation of events .... six hours for two thousand years is good going; it equates to about 400 pages of text which is a rather short history of Christianity.

yeah. To me that kind of summarizes it.

Compromise compromise compromise with the world.

The real history of christianity? Politics as usual.

OP, I will be very happy to check out those videos when I can and will be more than happy to participate in the thread at that time. Just give me one or two days to have the time!

It remains entirely debatable whether the 'church' remained 'christian' at the Constantine transition. It was at that point it, the church, became a worldly compromised annihilator of it's perceived enemies. A veritable bullying killer.

Many see that event as a dire turning point away from christianity.
