  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Revelation 3:12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

The Name of God is Passionate, like a Consuming Fire
Exodus 34:14
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord,
whose name is Passion, is a passionate God:
H7067 - qannā' - Strong's Hebrew Lexicon (kjv)
[H7067] qanna-literally "to redden", be passionate, jealous, zealous
Only when a believer becomes passionate about the things of God does
He reveal Himself in the fullness of His Name.

Numbers 25
:
11 Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath
from the children of Israel, because he was zealous with My zeal among them,
so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My zeal.
12 Therefore say, Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace;
13 and it shall be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for
the children of Israel.

The Zeal of Faith is fully expressed through the sure mercies of David, by one committed to receiving
the correction/chastizement of the Holy Spirit,
unto a perfected obedience.

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.
Therefore be zealous and repent.

Lamentations 3:
22
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.

The Name of the Lord is with those who fear Him
Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)
Psalm 25:
12
Who is the man that fears the Lord?
Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.
13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity,
And his descendants shall inherit the earth.
14 The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant.

Exodus 34:
5
Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.
6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,
7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God,

This fragment of scripture has always meant a great deal to me. The Lord has linked it with (Romans 8:35-39) many times. None of these things ( principalities, powers, tribulation, distress...famine, persecution, things present things to come etc..) Have the power in of themselves to move us. We give them that power sometimes, but Paul became convinced none of them could separate us from the Love of God. I have found that to mean much more than just God's love and the blood. That He will love us no matter what so to speak. But speaks even more so to becoming the overcomers He desired us to become. How many times I have prayed, "Lord for your sake whatever I need to go through that I would become an immoveable pillar in the Temple of God" That none of these things would move me any longer. That I would no longer give them the power to move me. That none of them could separate me from the love of God!
Thanks for posting these!
