He made darkness His hiding place, and storm clouds a canopy around Him.

How wise and clandestine!

What do you think of God's hiding Himself and making darkness His hiding place?

Have you ever studied or experienced God's Hiddenness?

As Jesus did with His parables, that not everyone may know what is being said, so the wicked will believe a lie.

As Jesus would reveal the thoughts of many by becoming flesh and one among the sinners and tax collectors.

To become the sacrificial Lamb to gather and reconcile all things in Him.

The same people who praised Jesus with "Hosanna!" also shouted, "Crucify him! Jesus wasn't surprised.

I've learned this from Him. Isaiah 6:10, Jeremiah 5:21, Ezekiel 12:2, Matthew 13:15, Acts 28:27, Romans 11:8.

One example I can think of is Jonah being in the dark fish. The Bible says there's no where you can go & the Lord isn't there. You can go into the depths of the earth & there he is. He's hiding in plain sight. In church we discuss you don't find God, he wasn't lost, you were

He is the groom. You are the bride. His face wasn't veiled - your's was. He's the one who tears the veil. It was Adam & Eve who hid & didn't want to be found but the Lord was right there regardless of them trying to hide. We don't always hide behind trees, we hide in our sin.
