"After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began
their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger
found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the
ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he
knocked over the bird with a stick. When he struck it, three tiny chicks
scurried from under their dead mother's wings.

The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her
offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings,
instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have
flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. Though the blaze
had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had
remained steadfast. Because she had been willing to die, those under the
cover of her wings would live.

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find
refuge." (Psalm 91:4). Being loved this much should make a difference in
your life. Remember the One who loves you, and then be different because
of it."

Yes, Carmen thisis an awesome story about God'sLove for us and His covering. It is interesting to note that even in a world where we so desperately need His Love and covering, we are too busy doing our own thing to seek it. Even in here a Post with that Titl only drew 12 views and only you responded.

It is so typical of how we run around seeking our own answers when all we have to do is slow down and run under His wing, and receive the shelter and answers we need.

Isn't it interesting! You are young and I am old but we both relate in the same way. I mean, I know EXACTLY how you feel when you say you "messed things up" and you run away. WOW!

I can tell you from experience that is a human trait. No one wants to run to their father and face him when they mess up.

But that is the Awesome and Wonderful thing about our Heavenly Father. We have the same option to run TO Him or run AWAY from Him. Praise His Name, He is always there with loving Arms open when we run to Him, and He will always love and forgive and "cover" us with His Divine protection.

Thanks for making this post today. To me it says that there is unity growing in the Body of Christ which is what we are fasting and praying for. It is awesome to know that young people and old people have the same fears and concerns.

yeah some time ago I was very surprised about everything you can find in 'the body of christ' which I thought of as church you just go to every sunday...it became a whole new meaning to me to have such an awesome family (yeh I still often forget that) like with all these gifts and everything..:):)
There were times when I totally felt Gods love and just wasn't any afraid..I probably misunderstood some stuff in the bible it just got me a whole wrong picture of God...I see how it isn't working but I often actually feel guity when I think of God's love... but I am talking to him a lot and I just trust him to lead me out of this.......well at the moment to be honest ..thank you :)

Thanks Jeff! All of us, as Christians, tend to take God's Love for granted and not give it a second thought as we hurry through this busy world we live in. Seems to be a sign of the times.

But I am learning more each day how important it is to slow down and take time to "receive" His Love and renew our strength, by resting a while in Jesus!

Sometimes the struggle is difficult when there seems to hang so many burdens, and we want to give up and quit.

Tonight I came here looking for an excuse to continue, when this popped up in similar threads and I clicked on to read Jeff's reply.

God opens our eyes and shows us things we need to see in His time. He is never early, but He is always on time.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
