  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hindrances To Your Prayers

"I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have
listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in
prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or
withheld his love from me!" Psalm 66:17-20

Are your prayers being heard by God? Are your prayers being
hindered by sin in your own life? There are altogether eighteen
hindrances. I believe that PRAYER is the secret to marriage restoration. We feel that our prayers are often blocked, and not as effective, due to having sin or hindrances in our personal life. We are warned about these conditions throughout the Bible.

The Word of God says:

"My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you
have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because
you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your
children." Hosea 4:6

We need to remove the obstacle that hinders our prayers. Do not
ignore iniquity in your heart or justify it. Sin is sin. Satan
uses our lack of knowledge as Christians because we often do not
know or apply the Word of God to our daily walk. We must not be
deceived or tricked by Satan and his deceptions and schemes
.

The first hindrance is not being a believer or a child of God. Have
you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life? Have you
confessed and repented of your sins? We know that there are
thousands of people praying for their spouse's salvation, but we
know of many of those who have not made that final commitment to
surrendering their heart and life to their Lord Jesus Christ.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23

"For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
Romans 10:13

The second hindrance is having sin in your life. We must
strive daily to have purity of heart. Living a life as a Christian
with unconfessed sin or even concealed sin (you think no one knows
of the secret sin) is not having a pure heart. Sin in your heart
will torment you. As you know from seeing your spouse, they become
miserable with unconfessed sins in their hearts.

God's Word says about sin versus a pure heart.

"Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall
receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of
his salvation." Psalm 24:3-5 (NKJV)

"He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Happy is the man who is always reverent, But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity."
Proverbs 28:13-14 (NKJV)

"Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear
too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your
God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not
hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with
guilt. Your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters wicked
things. No one calls for justice; no one pleads his case with
integrity. They rely on empty arguments and speak lies; they
conceive trouble and give birth to evil." Isaiah 59:1-4

"Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create
in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within
me." Psalm 51:9-10

You can live a victorious Christian life with prayers being answered
if you choose to say "NO to sin every day. I pray that you will
examine your heart and see if you have been harboring sin in your
life, such as anger, jealousy, (be honest), unforgiveness regarding
your spouse or the other person and circumstances from your marriage
problems.

We know how we fall into Satan's trap of deception, thinking we should divorce our husband/wife due to his/her unfaithfulness. We allowed the sins of anger, jealousy and unforgiveness to consume us as a Christian. We have built up walls blocking our prayers to my Lord. We sought man ways, not our Lord's way regarding our marriage. God's way is totally the opposite. God wanted us to stand in the gap interceding,
praying and fasting for our husband/wife to become the man/woman of God that He had purposed and planned for our future.

Oh, dear Children, seek the Lord. Cry out to Him, asking Him to
remove any and all sins from your wounded, broken and crushed heart
and spirit. Your Lord can heal your brokenness. He will change you
into a man or woman of faith. You can become the prayer warrior that
your Lord wants you to be as you pray for your spouse, loved ones
and many thousands of other prodigals around the world, who are
running from their Lord God. Remember, God's ways will prevail if we
will persevere!

"Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is
near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his
thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on
him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. " For My
thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says
the LORD. " For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are
My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your
thoughts." Isaiah 55:6-9

Abba Father we give praise and Glory to your name for teaching us to think in your way and Not ours. Lord Jesus increase our faith. Heal all the broken marriages so that we come to u and remain with u as lovely couples. The Miracle is taking place to those who have surrendered to the lord. REPENT and cleanse urself. Praise u Jesus.

I beg you to get serious about praying–today! Not, online with a
prayer board or chat room, but with you and only you in the presence
of our Holy God, or Blessed Sacrement seeking Him to change the heart of your beloved.
Open His Word, and ask Him questions. Tell Him your worries and your
fears.

Do you know what happens when standers get serious about meeting with God alone in prayer? Hard hearts start to soften, and in small ways, undetectable to you, another prodigal starts toward home. May you get serious about meeting God in prayer. That is the answer for your every concern. May God bless everyoen who comes and views this topic
