Has anybody heard the new hillsong united more than life cd yet?.. it rocks, it has 2 delirious songs and a tim hughes one... top cd they also do All Day, which has been on a youth alive cd! top cd and i reccomend it hey bless u all

haha, ummmm ?... were talkin bout the new hillsong album.. its cool it came out 2nd feb and it rocks anyones world! it has behind the scenes stuff and everything and ohhh soo many good songs on it!.. i must admit free is like one of my all time favourites! so yeah, GET IT ITS COOL

Sorry to be the dissenting voice, bit over Hillsong of late... their music is ok but a bit repetitive... Maybe that's just because they are 10 minutes away so and because I see them often - either on tele, at the church, or hear their music on FM103.2 here in Sydney, I'm a touch sick of their music.
I just find that their stuff while musically sounds good (although usually repetitive) where they come undone is lyrically... very shallow and at times totally unscriptural... usually just an empty praise song which is ok for the non-Christian to hear but the words will not convict them or help reveal doctrine to them. On the other hand their songs don't always edify the church either...
Anyhow don't wanna come across as a Nazi or whatever, I won't fault them for trying. They sure do a lot in terms of evangelism and so forth... they are family so I certainly won't knock them for that! God bless!!

Umm. ooookaaay...
I just recently got it. I love the DVD (only saw part of it). not to sound pessimitic, it's my personal taste but i reckon the ends of the earth was better. There's a powerful worship song though called consuming fire, that's real powerful.

I'm not anti-Hillsong by any means, but having been a fan for some 10 years, I've noticed the lyrics have waned a little and now it seems that the old days when Geoff Bullock (yea I know his indiscretion but his lyrics are second to few in the modern day) and Russ Fragar were better. Darlene's still putting out great music but I just sense that it's now all about the arrangement and the craftsmanship now seems focussed musically while lyrics are hastily thrown together... anyhow if it's helping save people (because I seriously doubt any music will actually SAVE anyone, hymn or modern song) then it's ok with me. Blessings everyone

I can see where you're coming from, LivingWorship. I think Geoff Bullock is a great lyricist and songs like "This Kingdom" are as "Jesus focused" as anything I've sung. There are a couple of really great songs that they've done in the past couple of years eg. Magnificent, but the focus on the I can tend to overpower the message that the song is endeavouring to push forth.
As for the United CD. the cover's quite interesting. I'll probably listen to it again because I had it in the CD player at work and was too busy to critique it, but it sounds like a good album. Majesty is one of my fave songs at the moment, and I like Consuming Fire as well (even if it isn't the Third Day one!)

hillsong united is cool, i reckon their newest album is their best yet!.. my fav youth band is ccc youth, they rock!!! awesome songs like walk on water, yours forever and 4 him jus to name a couple.. anyone heard them?

yeh i love the new album i got more than life a week or to ago. and i love the song more than life cos we sang it at the hillsong conference. but one way and evermore and always are awesome too. hey i just love hillsongs
