I went to mine just so I couldn't regret not going. Unfortunatly most everyone who did show up (maybe 20-30 people) I was never close with in highschool. It was nice to see a few people though. I didn't have a good time but I can't regret not going. :) I'm not a generally a conversation initiator (especially with people I don't know well) so perhaps if I was I would have enjoyed it more.
I think you should go if you want to.

No one can answer that for you but yourself...after all, we don't know what your relationship with your high school and high school alumni was like.

My reunion will be this year, but I have no intention of going whatsoever. Honestly, social media has made high school reunions thoroughly obsolete. I've kept in contact with everyone worth keeping in my life over the past ten years: one is still a close in-person friend and the rest are just polite acquaintances on Facebook. If I wanted to look up anyone else from my past I could just do it online, and anyone else could do the same to me. I see no need to travel back to my hometown and make banal chitter-chatter with people who I barely even knew back then.

My 10 year high school reunion is coming this year as well. High school was a hard time for me as I was bullied (verbally) by my peers a lot and suffered from deep depression as a result. I didn't have many friends and everyone thought I was just that dumb, ugly, weird kid. But college and my adult life has been better. But I still don't know If I would go because I honestly didn't like many of them that say they are going LOL. But if anything I would go just to say "hey I made it and I am doing something with my life" kinda deal.

I was the biggest loser of my high school years..
Trying to decide to go to my 10 year reunion...
Advice is welcome.
HI, My high school reunion is also this year. My high school is in southern california, but they never sent me a postal mail invitation only "facebook invite" which is odd. The plane tickets are so expensive. I live in the midwest. I do not have any friends though. I feel lost in the world and my financial situation is horrible, with homelessness a possibility in 6 months. I was looking to going to my reunion, but without a formal mailed letter then nope I"am not. :(

I don't plan on ever going to a high school reunion. Due to how I went through high school (public for 9 and 12, and then private for 10 and 11), I don't really know anyone from my graduating class. I'm also not sure how it really works with a graduating class of 1100.

Interesting, you sound like you were a lot of times the new kid in school? I can relate to being the new girl in school. My high school had 740 kids in it.

Hehehehe...I still have to laugh about this...out of my graduating class of 500 students, I was the one that was specifically not invited to come to the last class reunion we had.

Oh, it makes me giggle.

Personally, I want to be invited for the sole purpose of telling them I've never heard of that school, they have the wrong person.

I don't think this decision has anything to do with you being a loser in high school. If you want to go, do it! If you're dreading it, don't go! Personally I'm excited to go to mine in a few years, but with facebook around now, you're probably keeping up with everyone you want to see anyway.
