Surely we've all either already had, are having, or are close to having a milestone class reunion. Is/was it a big deal for you, your friends, and your classmates? For those who already had theirs, did you go? Did you enjoy it? What was it like?
For those whose reunion is on the horizon, are you going? Are you looking forward to it? If you're going but not excited about it what made you decide to go?
I was class of 2005 so my 20-year is coming next summer. I was talking about it with my three best friends and none of them are going. One of them lives abroad so I can understand that, but the other two have always been the sort who are just religiously opposed to visiting the past. I thought about going but I'm not so sure since I don't think many of my friends will be there, and honestly I'm not really sure I want to catch up with whoever's left. I went to a big school, my graduating class was over 500 and I'm not sure how many of them I want to see.
I didn't go to my 10-year, everyone says that one's a waste cause most of us have barely started our careers and lives post-college so not much has changed but at 20 that's when most of us are now married, have multiple kids, careers are established and we've all more or less settled down.
My dad has his 60th reunion that same year, he jokes that at that point you go just to let everyone know you're still alive.
