This is a poem I wrote, but I turned it into a song. It might be a bit hard to read and it's a bit long. Where I've written (CHORUS) you go back and read the chorus again. It's a bit depressing (again).
Hide
(Verse)
Photos and memories
We're all happy but she's
Sitting in the corner of the frame
And she's crying, crying, crying again
She's always sad, that little girl who has no friends
Little did we know it would drive her round the bend
We said
(CHORUS)
Don't cry in front of me
Cause I just don't want to see
The pain you feel inside
Don't cry in front of me
I don't care, why can't you see?
Why don't you just go and hide?
Just go and hide
(Verse)
That girl grew up with a frown on her face
And she always felt out of place
She married a man who was cruel
And then thought how could she be such a fool?
He said
(CHORUS)
(Verse)
I got an invitation to her funeral
She'd pumped her body with drugs till she was full
Her twin sons they found her lying on her bed
And a note was found under her head
It said
(CHORUS)
(Verse)
We remembered how we'd told her to hide
And we joined hands and started to cry
We put a single rose on her coffin
And on pretty silver paper we wrote a poem
It said
Cry in front of me
Cause we just don't want to see
The pain you feel inside
Cry in front of me
I do care, why can't you see?
We will help you come alive
Hide
