• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do you like to cook?
What is the last thing you drank?
Are you looking forward to any movies in the coming months?

Yes I do, some things anyway.

Mt. Dew Voltage.

Hmm … GI Joe maybe, the first one surprised me at how enjoyable it was for me, hopefully the second will be as well.

What is your dream job?

How/Why did you choose your username?

Have you ever traveled outside of the USA?

Graphic Designer. Specifically doing ads (yeah, ads seems boring, but as a kid i poured over ads in magazines, looking at the text and the pictures and such. loved 'em).

I love synthetic paper, the actual stuff I mean. It's like a plastic paper, it just feels sooo nice.

I've been to Canada when I was a kid, but that's all. I would love to visit more places though.

Do you have any pets?

What is your best childhood memory?

I see you are married, do you have any kids?

Yep, I have two cats and two dogs (one is a Shiba Inu / Pomeranian mix and the other is a Dachshund / Jack Russell mix).

That is hard, I live and breathe nostalgia. Probably my very favorite memory is going on picnics with my mom when I was probably around 4 or 5 yrs old. She would pull me in my wagon and we would go to the grocery store and get the food (I specifically remember getting chocolate milk, yaaay :D ) and then going to the park and eating and playing most of the day then getting pulled back home in the wagon about the time my dad came home from work.

Yep, I have one step daughter.

Besides life stages hangout, where is your usual area of choice on CF? and why do you like to post there?

A lot of the forms with games, just because I like word associations. though I usually avoid the blessings exchange ones, as I don't really do anything with blessings anyway.

The music forums, though I don't really post a lot there unless there is a thread about a genre or band I am interested in

The Lutheran section. Though again, I mostly read, rather than post, but I do find the discussions interesting and it's a pretty good way to keep up on denominational happenings.

Have you been a Lutheran your whole life? If not, when did you become one and why?

Nope, I grew up Nazarene actually, then after moving I started going to a Pentecostal church as there were no Nazarene churches near me. I became Lutheran about 7 yrs ago, basically because I wanted something more traditional and liturgical. Also I got a bit tired of being told how I really should speak in tongues in the Pentecostal church I had been going to. :p

What was your favorite cartoon as a child?

Hmm … as a very little kid it was probably "Space Stars" which had Space Ghost (the original of course), Teen Force, Astro and the Space Mutts aaaaand Herculoids (my favorite of them all). Also that show debuted on my birthday. I knew that show was going to be great AND it was going to premiere on my birthday, I was going nuts for like the month before asking my mom if it was that day yet.

As an older kid … hmmm, I'm not sure really, probably a three way tie between Transformers, G.I. Joe and M.A.S.K. (I know, all pretty standard shows). I also loved Pole Position though, it was supposedly based on the video game, but it was nothing like it. It was a great show though, with talking cars and such. And one of the episodes even ripped off Children of the Corn.

Do you have a favorite Bible verse?
What have you discovered about God lately?

hmm, probably all of Psalm 69 actually. And yes, I did first read it as a teenager thanks to Ministry :p (actually I also heard it as a hidden track at the end of a Generation CD way back then too. Either way industrial metal bands first brought all that especially to my attention). I also like Psalm 58:6, the one about breaking the teeth of the lions. I don't know, I like a lot of the Psalms, the more unhappy ones.

I didn't answer this for a while because I was trying to think of an answer and honestly … I don't know. Life has been super busy and kinda sucky for the last little bit so I suppose I could say something about learning that "no matter how bad things are God is always in control" or something like that. "always trust God" … "God will do what he knows is best" … etc. But, really, that isn't something I recently discovered, so … I don't know.
