Hi. my name is Vicki and I'm 23 years old. I found this forum through a friend of mine on another message board... I've been a Christian for just over 3 years now, and I attended Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, IA for one semester (I couldn't go back for financial reasons). I still have a lot of friends there, and I go to church with a lot of Emmaus students. Some of my other intersts include music (all kinds, especially country), writing and singing my own songs, Writing stories, and hanging out on the internet. I live in Iowa now, but I hope to movet o Nashville, Tennessee before the end of 2004 to pursue a career in music.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks! It'll be great to get to know everyone here, too. I've been looking for a place where I can talk to other Christians (other than church that is... Some place I can come whenever I want, not just on Sundays
