hi to all! I am new here and really appreciated this site. At first, I was just searching for any sites that could help me in my reaction paper about Jesus' methods of teachings and the early christian education, but then when I tried to browse the forums, I was captivated by the beauty of exchanging ideas or thoughts and in any way it can help to an invidual.


For now, I'd like to ask for some opinions or reactions about Jesus teachings and the early christian education. Please do respond.

I think that the most important method Jesus used was that he lived as he taught. When he met people, looked at them, spoke with them, ate with them, he showed respect and love. When he spoke, he used parables e.g. the prodigal son in which he taught how God loves us. When he met a woman, who had sinned, he acted as the Father in the parable. Often when he was questioned, he rarely began to dabate, but he answered with another question or a parable, which made the people think themselves. He was honest and true for all he met.

I think it for some people it was quite annoying because they did speak about how to live, but wouldn't or couldn't live the way they taught others. And for the others meeting and listening to Jesus was the best they have ever had in their lives. And so it is today too.

Methods of teaching: parables, personal interaction, (person to person) giving speeches to a crowd, (mount) hands-on (using objects with speech) and through others, (disciples who preached His word), and through written form (recall Him writing in the sand)

Jesus taught by not only telling but showing, he healed the sick, fed the hungry and in all of it by prasing God's name. He told parables that related to the lives he was talking to and still relate to us today. These parables help us today as much as they helped people in Jesus' time. As helmikaarina said He also sat with the sinners and Gentiles. His message is to everyone, not just the pharisees and Jews. The way He taught wasn't like a teacher's, His message is about Love and hope. Hope you understood this!
