  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi, everyone!

May I introduce myself to you? My name is Joyce. I am a Christian. And, I am a Christian blogger and writer from my blog. Anyway, I am glad to find this forum and "meet" you all here.

Who Am I?

I am living in Central California from the USA. I am a married woman and a mother of two adult sons. One of them is living in Ohio and married. He has a child. They are Deaf. Another of my sons is living in San Diego; he is a US Marine and engaged to his girlfriend. Both of my sons are Christians. My husband and I attend our local church which is nondenominational. Additionally, my husband goes to the Men's Ministry and I go to the Women's Ministry. We both love to study the Bible with our small groups.

How Can I Be Saved?

When I was 23 years old and Catholic, I was naive about Jesus Christ. On May 28, 1998, around 11:30 pm - my good friend was a Christian and came to see me at my house when I was very depressed due to the family situation. He shared the Gospel about Jesus Christ, he showed me one of the Bible Verses - "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Rev. 20:15. Finally, I realized that I did not want to go into the lake of fire without my name in the book of life. I wanted to invite Jesus Christ in my heart. After midnight on May 29, 1998, my good friend and I prayed together to ask for God's forgiveness and Jesus died for my sins. Next, I knew that I was saved by Him; this changed my life.

After that, I started to learn the difference between Catholics and Christianity. I understood why I did not know much about Jesus Christ at that time I was Catholic. When I was saved, I decided to be baptized at the Baptist Church. So I moved to a nondenominational church where I am currently living. From now on, I have been studying the Bible with my small group from the Women's Ministry. I continue to go to church and listen to the pastor through God's Word.
