My understanding of the scriptures in the bible.
These days many lives are thirsty and hunger for food and drink. You only see a person would only looks for food and water, etc But for some are really fed themselves, they are thirsty for some thing else. Some would want to enjoy the things they have, some would want more of stuff that is on earth. Some are not having enough happiness.
Now these days there are schools and works and economics. Schools are to learn. Works are to be servant of God. Economics are to continue the process of marketing. Now, if a student at school is putting their greatest effort to get good grade but their mind and heart are looking toward for diploma or award, is not a single. Now, if a person who goes to work and their heart and mind are on houses, hunger for food, good life, and any other etc of using money, is not a single eye. These days teenagers and adults and seniors have many eyes on many things. Some doesnt realize that going to school is just to learn but many have eyes on the diploma. Some doesnt realize that going to work is to use our energy and time to help Economics grow. But some have many eyes on hunger for food and drink.
Here is the catch. The Lord Jesus Christ came to teach us to be one single eyed and one good eyed. As it is written in Mathew 6:22-25, Let your eye be single. This is one good example of single eye in Mathew 6:25. Do not worry about what to eat or wear or dont worry about what to do tomorrow. When you do something for life, dont thinking about return. For an example, when you go to school you are there to learn not to be there to waste time. Another example, when you go to work doesnt think about how are you going to get paid or what to do with the money you earned. You will start to have many eyes on. Dont think about what to eat or wear tomorrow. Does Your Father in Heaven fed the bird in the air?
Let me tell you this. Your Father in Heaven is watching over us. Let our eye be single and we shall see God one day. And also my brothers and sisters in Christ, all of these things that are many eyes are chasing after wind. It meant meaningless. Now, think about it and this would take you another lesson.
Meaningless things are part of sin. As it is written in Ecc. Chapter 1. One prophet seen many things under the sun are meaningless. He called that chasing after wind because the earth is circulated around the earth and it comes around where it came from. Read it.
Now in this lesson, you would want to see that the things that the prophet seen is true and it has been passed. Do you think that it is meaningless to save our own body? Do you think is it meaningless to eat and drink to be happy? Do you think it is meaningless to do what your father is doing? I bet you would because now you can see it.
I know what your excuse was to chase after wind. You dont want any pain or suffering. You dont want anyone to see you as free loader. You dont believe in God. You want to have good thing. Those are the excuses people would say and many other excuses. But, when my heart goes through those meaningless things are feeling pretty dirty in me and I see that I survived through life which is meaningless and as am feeling it the days past and my body are getting old and wrinkly and start getting weak. As you see, people dont realize that their body is dirty or unclean after their living meaningless but until they get weak. Which is meaningless.
Would you like to live meaningless? If not, stop with your worrying and excuses or chasing after the wind just to survive life. (One good suggestion. If you are energized, dont bother to eat. When you are not using your energy for the day, dont eat. Food is not to fill up your stomach but food to get you energized.) One good scripture, God deliver the ones that are still hungry or not fed yet. I remember it is psalms.
