Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey, everyone else is doing it, right?

As in, am I Scottish? Well, I am actually Canadian born and bred, though I do have some Scottish in my background. And I came from the mountains of British Columbia before moving out East to Ontario. So I guess, in a way yes, and in a way no.

Do you keep any cash stashed in the house for a rainy day?

Do you have a dictionary of another language in your home? If so what language? How often do you actually use it?

Ice cream or Yogurt?

How often do you check your voicemail? What does your message say?

Do you have a welcome mat outside the door?

What time did you go to bed lastnight?

What does your mousepad look like (if you have one)?

Do you read out loud or in your head?

How many times a day would you say you sign onto CF?

Chicken or Fish?

Are you going to church next sunday?

Who was the last person to call you?

Do you consider yourself to be really organized?

How many credit cards do you have?

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Do you have any pets?

What is the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?

What is one of your most pleasant memories?

Are you "hot natured" or "cold natured"?

What is your most prized possession?

What are some of your pet peeves?

Hi

What is your favorite genre of books?

Favorite tv show?

Favorite subject in school?

Books: Fiction, I like fantasy. Nonfiction, I'd have to say Christian spirituality and some areas of theology.

TV Show: Well, I don't really watch TV, as I don't have one. Although, I have been known to enjoy Simpsons and Family Guy.

Favorite subject... well, highschool I can't remember much. College and seminary... I would have to say Biblical studies or Missiology.

1. Not really. I usually put what money I have into the bank.

2. Yes. I have Spanish, Hebrew and Mandarin dictionaries on my bookshelf. Admittedly, I don't use the Spanish or Mandarin much, but because I am learning Hebrew currently, I use it several times a week.

3. Depends on the mood.

4. Not too often, I will admit. And actually, the voicemail isn't updated to current either. The guys will have to update it when I am gone.

5. nope.

6. about 3:00 am EDT, same as usual.

7. No mousepad. I have a touch pad on my laptop, though.

8. Usually in my head. I do read out loud if I am reading to someone, though.

9. Once a day, sometimes once every few days.

10. Usually chicken.

11. Most likely.

12. That would be my roommate's mom, I would think.

1. I can be organized if I really wanted to be, but I'm not as organized as I know my mom is. What I have I learned from her.

2. 2. Visa and Amex.

3. I don't know. Probably live like I already do, but with less debts, and give the rest away to whoever needed it more. Maybe to another friend who has debts coming out of their wazoo.

4. I remember every day as I walked to jr high and highschool, scared out of my mind as to what the other kids were going to do to me that day. Between that and being filled with such pent up rage against a system that could do nothing to help me and towards my tormentors. Yeah. Not a pleasant experience.

5. Summer of 1997, I got to go to a summer acting camp in Montana. It literally changed my life and first introduced me to real Christians. I was shown love and acceptance there from my peers for the first time in my life.

6. I am not sure as to what you are talking about here. But if you are asking what I get like when I am angry, I would probably have to say "cold". If you're talking passionate personality vs. passive and uncaring, then I kind of fall somewhere in the middle.

7. Prized possession? A plush rabbit that I carry around with me when I go to new places and take pictures of.

8. Pet peeves... Well, I can't stand hypocrisy. If you are going to say you will do something, do it. If you claim to follow Christ, it means actually living a life following HIM. And do not present two faces, gossiping and slandering behind someone's back and then sickeningly sweet to their faces. Also, I dislike it when people order big meals, take one or two bites of it, and then throw the rest away. It is such a waste of food!!!!!!!!

Whats the scariest question a girl could ask you

Whats the scariest question God could ask you

Whats the best question a girl could ask you

If God offered you one thing, anything at all - your choice, what would it be

1. Why haven't you asked me out yet? (or varients on this one...)

2. Do I know you? (asked in the tone that implies the negative answer)

3. That's a good question. I don't know. I think it would depend on the girl who's asking, wouldn't it? ;)

4. To know fully what his will is for my life. It would certainly clear up a lot of questions.

Nice :D I've read 3 of those. Did you hear Robert Jordan has a rare blood disease? Made me sad :(

Also, have you ever tried George RR Martin? His stuff's hard to read sometimes, but it's really good writing :)

No, I didn't hear that. It is unfortunate. Hopefully he'll be able to finish his series.

Yes! I read his first one in the Game of Thrones series, though the title is missing my thoughts at the moment.

Well, at least I got one of the titles... :p Actually, a buddy of mine has the series, and I haven't got around to borrowing them yet. But then, I can't really at this time because I will be leaving soon anyways.

But, on to the questions...

Yes, I do play some video games. I play Age of Empires 2 with some of the people on campus, I have been known to play the odd RPG here and there, and there were a few games that I used to play but can't anymore because I can't seem to find them. You remember the classic Sierra adventure games, like the Kings Quest series? Yeah. That was about when I started.

Favorite cartoon. I liked Pinky and the Brain when it was out. As for now, although I don't watch much TV, I have been known to sit in on the odd Family Guy or Simpsons episode.

Yes, I have moved around from house to house and town to town quite a bit, actually. So much so that I don't really have one town that I can say that I've grown up in or that would be a "home town".

What's funny?

What's cool?

What scares you?

What's annoying?

I tend to enjoy the ironic, the strange twists of circumstances that may normally appear frustrating to no end. But looking back on it, I laugh. I also find witty reparte and plays on words to be entertaining as well. If done right, it could be downright hilarious.

Mmm... icecream... snow... a rain shower after a hot couple of days, especially if there is thunder and lightning and the rain is coming down like bullets. I've heard dry ice is pretty cool too. So cool, in fact, that is makes quarters squeal when you put them on it, and it steams and vapours just sitting in a regular room. Uh... a refreshing swim, a glass of iced tea...

What scares me? I used to be scared of heights. I still am a bit, but not nearly as much as before. I'm also afraid of meeting new people sometimes, and I feel a bit uncomfortable in crowded places sometimes, especially if it's a party and I don't know anyone. At those times, I would rather just find a place in the corner and crowd watch, or talk to those who strike up conversation, and occasionally get into preaching mode, which I am much more comfortable in. I'm not the greatest fan of thrill rides, either.

Annoying... the times when you are engrossed in an important paper and people keep calling you, never leaving you alone... when you explicitly tell people you are going somewhere to be alone, and they follow you anyways... When people order big meals and only eat one or two bites, and then waste everything else... When my roomies refuse to clean up after themselves and we run out of dishes and our apartment suddenly becomes embarrassing to welcome guests...
