  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm getting small movements thanks to something sweet.

I'm still worried...yeah yeah I know... :)
Better to be concerned and it end up as nothing than the other possiblity.

HA, with my second I went to the hopsital 3 times to be monitored from 30 weeks on because I either had contractions or she wasn't moving. Poor doctor probably thought I was crazy especially since it wasn't my first.

we had 3 NST done with Christian from week 37-39 because she wasn't moving then had to go with a diognostic ultrasound to make sure she was ok, she got 8/10 on the ultrasound, missed two due to failing the NST.

on the pooping, it could be your body getting ready to have baby. I increased 2 weeks before Christian was born.

I have noticed that towards the end--the movement really chills out--my guess Linnis, is that Ethan was moving into the position which he would like to be in to be born, and if his head is engaged at all in your pelvis...is more or less 'stuck there'. The big movements really diminish in the last few weeks, since baby is now taking up most of the available space.

But I also heartily recommend going in if you are uneasy at all...it's better to look like an idiot(which you most definitely won't) and have peace of mind....than to be ill at ease.

It's almost October! I am so excited for you!

I just hadn't had any movements for almost 12 hours and since I had a headache and took tylenol I was worried.

He moved enough to make me not worry so I'm okay now. I thanked him and told him I was sorry for waking him up but I worry....so I can't look anymore silly than talking to my belly.

I remember when I was having my first lot, that during the last few weeks, movement would slow down alot, but we were told that as long as we could count 10 movements within a certain time, then things were alright. Unfortunately I can't remember what the time frame was now. If your doctor or midwife is close and handy enough, maybe you could have his heart beat check just to reassure yourself.
On another note, I know that when I took pain meds, the baby did stop moving for some considerable time, so in the end I only tried to take them when I couldn't take the pain any more.
No movements from the baby is not a nice feeling, and I know that this well send me into a panic faster than most other things.

Grace worried me continually in the last month because she didnt' move as much, once when I was especially worried I phoned the hospital and went up to be checked out - she was fine, I had a slight temperature and apparently that can make baby sleepy and therefore it won't move as much.

Don't be afraid to phone your ob if your concerned - it's what they're there for.

I did this too! I'd jiggle my belly until he moved enough to calm me and then I'd apologize to him. ^_^ DH would tell him that he had a paranoid Mama. :sorry:

I'm the same way, when I fell off the bed the other day he wasn't moving near as much as usually the next day. I was so worried I'd hurt him eventhough I didn't even land on my tummy. He's back to normal though and stronger than ever but I am glad he's finally moved out from underneath my ribs though!! :p
