He went to Omaha for 5 days. I miss him. I know it isn't that long but I still miss him.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok, I'm going to say something else. I am not really happy. It is a tough time for me right now,and he is a big support to me so it is hard to not have him here.I really don't want to be preached at. I know it isn't long, but for me it is because I don't really get to talk to him either, at least not much.Just a warning so please be nice. I don't have a whole lot of support from anywhere else except God, and sometimes I need an actual human. I do thank you for your replies though.

Instead of thinking about how much you miss him, think of it as a blessing. When he gets back, it will be wonderful to see him. I don't know if you normally see him every day, but sometimes that's not the best thing for a young relationship. My fiance and I have spent time together 7 days out of the same week probably fewer than 10 times in the past 2 years. Yes, at times it's rough, but at the same time, the dependency needs to be on God, not our significant others 
But like I said, don't think about him being gone. Think about the big hug you're going to give him when he gets back.

you will be fine. my girlfriend is going on a mission trip to alaska for like 2 weeks. i will be just fine.(i hope!) lol. absence makes the heart grow fonder and i can wait on my girlfriend as long as it takes. me = crazy about her

You can do it! I know you can! I know it's not always easy, just don't dwell on it. Find something else to put your energy into for the days he's gone. My b/f is on a 7 week mission trip to New Zealand...only 3 weeks left until I pick him up from the airport.

Any time away from a loved one can be hard for sure, but the time's liveable...you cant afford to put everything on hold these days! 
My g/f went away for 6 days last week and the time flew by quite quickly for me. We talked a few times on the phone, so it was good to be able to check up on how things were...

i remember when me and my girlfriend first started dating. she went to the beach for like a week. i used to sit and wait for her to call. my heart would go crazy when my cell phone rang and it was her. heck, it still does to this day. when i see her calling i get all happy inside! but yeah it was good to talk to her and stuff but you have to remember you can't be with them all the time!(well technically you can if your married but thats a different subject alltogether )
