• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Here we go again!

So I was doing great, but there have just been a lot of things triggering me lately and I have not really eaten lately. So I have had to deal with this and I hate dealing with it! I almost blacked out after church today while my fiancee and I were congregating, so I was forced to eat and everything because the lay pastor saw everything too, so therefore between the two of them they made me eat.

Things are crazy now, but I am working on getting back on track.

That is a wonderful thing to hear.

I haven't spoken to you one-on-one on here really, but from what I've read, you seem to be a strong woman. You know that you want to get better and that maintaining is hard, but it's got to be done.

I will be thinking on you.:hug:

Are you taking time each day to self-soothe? This will really help in dealing with the triggering events in your life. Take some time to put on some praise music, or classical music, and open your Bible and read it. Then journal what the Lord is telling you. Journal about the triggering events. Journal about your feelings. This will give you a great deal of strength in the long run.

Hugs,
Trish

Music4Hymn777,

I think you sound hopeful for recovery since you do want to recover, plus you are lucky enough to have the support from your family, fiance' and pastor who are helping you. Please try what the poster above me said about taking time to self-soothe by reading the bible, putting on somem relaxing, encouraging music, and journal what God is telling you. I know that life is so busy that it's hard to do this somethings, but you have to if you want to recover. I pray that you get all the help and support you can for your ED. I know God is there for you every step of the way. Ask him to give you strength. He will never leave nor forsake you.:amen:

In Him,
Trinity
