The day of YHWH, The day of Messiah, Messiah's day are all references to the same Day, and in that Day is when the Gathering Together occurs...

Look it up, it is all throughout the Tanakh, and Paul had taught the Thessalonians concerning that day, they were trouble that that Day was at hand, the Gathering Together during the dark and cloudy day, the time of Jacob's trouble.

With that said, having the correct understanding is not necessary to be saved, very helpful once you are saved, since it is His people that perish for a lack of knowledge, they still go to the kingdom "His People" but they live without His full protection in the meantime, and all the blessings He has given.

We are to pray, Our Father who art in Heaven .... Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Psalms 40:8

Believers are subjects to the rules of the commonwealth of Heaven, our constitution that supersedes all others. The Torah that is forever settled in heaven.

Citizenship in Heaven is the same as Citizenship in Israel ... The same constitution, administrative authority. The same Promises and requirements while on earth.

It is not one or the other. Mutually exclusive... It's the same thing.

Christian thought is Greek linear thought, one thing is the absolute answer, rather than the answer is like looking at a multi-faceted precious stone, and the more facets, you are able to retain together gives a more complete picture..

No prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation, meaning you can't use one verse by itself, alone and say this is what it means, You need supporting evidence from scripture.

Acts 21:39

No, it was not as a insult. It was for being a disciple, follower of Jesus (the Christ).

Acts 1:
25Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: 26And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

You better look at Psalms 2. You want to associate yourself with the heathen?

8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

"Christian" was initialized for the disciples, as followers of Christ, and are a new creation in Christ - unlike in the Tanach, something not found in the Tanach because it was a hidden mystery.

Being a Christian is the highest level of existence a person can become... the sons of God. Why would anyone by that virtue want to take a step backwards to wallow in the flesh, over the argument of Jew or Gentile, which is where sin dwells and has been appointed once to die, it is that corrupted. I can easily suppress that pride of life - for Jews not so easily I don't think. The judaizer of Gallatians effect remains. Although different, we can throw replacement theology in there as well.

To be called a Christian, or little Christ, by someone who doesn't acknowledge Christ would indeed be a badge of honour.
These unbelievers were saying that they didn't acknowledge Christ for themselves, but they could see him in the lives of the early Church. Like someone saying "I can see Jesus in you, even though I don't follow Jesus."

The trouble is that, today, the word Christian is abused and applied to anyone who is born in a "Christian" country, or does good deeds, which they think is what Jesus came to do.
That's why, I believe, many differentiate and refer to "born again" Christians. Anyone who doesn't understand the "born again" reference, is possibly not yet a Christian at all.

Even among Christians the "born again" concept is poorly understood. It is not just assenting to a set of doctrinal beliefs but rather it is a spiritual transformation. For most, it seems to happen very quickly often with a lot of emotion. But for yet others it can be very much like a real birth ---- very painful and dragged out over a long time.
