  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Helping one another
Is a thing that’s kind to do.
Seeing what is needed
So our giving’s not too few.

Seeing smiling faces
When their needs are being met,
Causes much rejoicing,
Even helps some out of debt.

It gives us much pleasure
Knowing we helped meet some needs.
Giving them some groceries
Helps some mouths we get to feed.

We are now encouraged,
For in giving, we are blessed,
Knowing that we helped them
When in them we did invest.

Sharing now with others
What our Lord has given us,
Follows His example,
And this now should be our thrust.

Loving them like Jesus,
How He sacrificed for us,
Gave His life up for us
So in Him we’d put our trust,

Ministers to others,
Shows them love of Jesus, too,
How much He does love them
And their lives he would renew.

On that cross He suffered,
Put our sins to death with Him
So we’d die to our sins,
So in love, we’d live for Him.
