I am new to wiki staff.
I was in there today and read in this wiki what they want the new rules to be.
I edited it lots out, made changes, but what will happen is when it's seen - they will revert it back (its a button) and what I removed will be gone and what was there will be back.
There are many concerns in this new rule wiki but the one that blew me away was something to this affect:
Only can post scripture in congregational sub forums and same with witnessing. there may have been one more place allowed to post scripture, like debate (old non c forums), but I'm fairly sure also said that no witnessing there either or might have been no trying to convert. Not postive on what was there; I just removed it all.
So, I've no time to get people over there and just realized this forum exists and need the following help.
I'm writing up a wiki how to, but basically just a document where you hit edit and edit the document, which is where people write rules, policies, etc (all members and staff), and then there's another button for discussion where things about the document (article) is discussed and sometimes debated, well, much so. Called a wiki. Basically a document.
Then not sure how the process is voted on or made policy. Critical need to know, cause if they put those rules i saw that were in this wiki to be our new rules; oh my...
So that process needs to be found out. is it poll? is it if discussion ends in wiki and all seems in agreement, which I in fact did read one say, well it all looks good in a post from yesterday or this morning in that rule wiki.
Again remember I first edited the wiki article removing all the junk, and in other spots changing members should not to must not, etc. then I hit discussion and read just a few posts.
problem is there aren't enough christians over there.
Here's the help desperatly needed to help cf be a place for all of us and especially not a place where we arent allowed to post scripture or witness should someone wish to.
Again, i did change the rule wiki, but someone will hit a button called revert and change it back. Anyone can do this anytime. Anyone can change whats posted in the wiki article anytime by hitting edit. and anyone can change it back.
That's why discussion part (which is a button) which brings you to the posts area in same wiki; is important.
As is needed to get folks to agree to keep people from stop changing article, as if all agree cats are not allowed to be mentioned; people will stop removing it from the wiki.
So here's the rule url and i did just check 10 mins ago, and my changes are still there, tho there needs more changes; but again it will be reverted back once the majority realizes what's been removed.

I can't handle a lot of pms at this point as need to do much learning and work as wiki staff position is new to me.
I'm writing up a how to wiki thing today, but again, you just go in one, hit edit, make changes, (which is what I did) or hit discusson and discuss first and see how that goes to get agreement and then make changes by hitting edit (you have to leave discussoi) and hit back back key couple times.
What I did, is somewhat futile because without discusson and agreement people will keep editing it back. But I can't do this alone, and so did not even post in discussion area that I had done so, as there's not enough support there to keep it the way i changed it to.
Also if have time look at all the other wikis' only 3 pages, but mainly ones on first page are the concerning ones.
Here's the wiki on rules
http://www.christianforums.com/t5692141-wiki-christian-forums-rules-draft-version-2.html
the forum name is Christian forums general wiki under support, not support team, but under first listing of support on home page called CF Support.
Just noticed poll in wiki/rules discusson forum (no wikis there) but if polls do effect change (which I don't know yet), then here's an important place to go as well.

Please help; this is awful what I read and again will be changed.
Thanks, and if you pm me will do best to get back, but am really busy atm.
If can get people do above 2 things that'd be great.
Also if have a look at all staff teams conference room, any can read there and only staff can post there, one sees the problems we are facing, many of the problems are in resignation letters which may now be on page 2.
But also keep in mind, because all is public, we are less inclined to post and say what is going on, (very little is posted actually; mostly in resign letters) as now cr can be read and then can staff be subject to harrassment by members.
For help for ideas now, here is a how to wiki I wrote up for staff, and tho I mention another wiki there, that is least of my concerns at this point; used that wiki as teaching tool for that post, main is rules wiki at url above.
Need people in discussion but please do remember to explain that i've changed the article, but it will be changed back, or many you get to go there will say i see no problem (because I have changed it.) It may already have been changed back now some 15 minutes later, not sure.
Also, I am aware many don't come here to be involved in wiki debate, but come here for the forums they like, so this is just directed to those who may be able to help, and anyone can help in any way..also anyone can start a new wiki, and title it: can't talk about purple dogs, and in article, say same, maybe explain why and hit save, and boom you've got a wiki and people will start discussing and believe me you, if it is voted (again don't know process) it would indeed be disallowed.
Worst could happen tho is u get a pm, saying please remove this, as is only thing available to mods because of current rules. yeah, i think we can ban trolls or persistent trouble makers, but dont think can do anything more than that. Rules is at the bottom of every page.
Here's a how to post I made with some information that might be helpful that I mentioned above. It at least explains that via wiki is only way things are changed now, and so not said, how critical it is to be in wiki forums.

Thank you all.
By the way, I chose here to post because I saw a thread discussing new announcement (now removed.) And due to your involvement there (only read a bit) is why I'm posting this here.
God bless you all,
love
tapero.
ETA: if i said above (can't find) can post an url of this somewhere; don't do as I don't know the spamming rule at the moment and wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble over anything, though it would just be a pm.

- need someone to take on role of going to congregatoinal forums and making them aware of same.
- Also need someone to figure out how a wiki (again which is just a document) can be made rules/protocol/policy.
