I registered here mainly to ask questions of Coptic Christians and questions about Coptic Christianity itself. My first question is;

Is Coptic Christianity the oldest form of Christianity, if not, then what form is the oldest?

Was the King James version of the Bible translated directly from the Coptic Bible, vice versa, or neither?

Answers to these questions would greatly help me in my endeavor.

Peace, and may God protect you!

I would believe that to be the Holy Orthodox Church.

Now as far as I know, the King James version was translated from Greek and Hebrew.

According to ancient manuscripts which were translated by Holy Apostles Convent in Colorado:

Saints Peter and Paul ordained a bishop for the Church in Antioch first (The Antiochian Orthodox Church), then St. Paul went and ordained bishops for the Churches in Turkey and Greece (The Greek Orthodox Church). Finally they went to Rome. Then St. Peter sailed to Alexandria and ordained a bishop there. Those bishops were the first "Coptic" bishops.

Hope this helps. It's late at night here and I have to arise early to go to the university.

BTW: The King James Version of the Bible was not the first English Translation. There is an earlier one.

The most ancient and accurate Old Testament is the Septuagint (written in Greek around 200 BC).

Yours truly in Christ,
Elizabeth
