  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This is for YEC, who acknowledge the global flood.

If you know anyone who is good at power point, who can help with a presentation to promote the effort to make a movie about the flood, visit the MINISTRY section here, in Chirstians Only, under visual arts and see the description of our needs.

Visit the web site, www.floodfilm.com for more information of our project.

I also welcome discussion here as to what should be depicted in THE definitive epic movie on the biblical flood.

Are you going to have Adam in the movie? Maybe you should have him interacting with Lamech, just a thought.

The movie starts when Noah is about 514, with two sons, Japeth the elder and Shem. Ham is born about a fourth of the way into the story. Adam is not present, but Methuselah is, as well as Lamech. Lamech dies five years before the flood at the young age of 777. Methuselah dies as the animals are entering the Ark. They don't even have time for a regular funeral.

I think a sub-element should be what the atmosphere was like pre-flood; and when the flood happened, what the source of water was. I happen to think the atmosphere was similar to what we have today (with normal rain and regular clouds) and the source of water was below the oceans in the lithosphere. See my notes on the topic at: www.genesistruth.org/documents/floodsource.pdf
Another emphasis should be on the "kinds" of animals that went on the Ark. Not all the 'species' but the genetic ancestors and possibly few of each. That way it is more plausible that they all fit on the ark.

Also, an answer to if Noah took only animals that had a soul or the breath of life, and why weren't fish dealt with. In other words, why was the entire creation wiped out on land but the sea creatures weren't? What about insects and such?

One flood scholar from Texas wanted me to show the atmosphere to include a canopy of METALLIC HYDROGEN. No thanks. But I don't know if this detail is vital to the mission, but we will certainly show flying dinosaurs with 16 foot wing spans, and dragonflies with two-foot wing spans. We are still discussing whether to insist on rain, or to insist on no rain, before the Flood, but we are favoring leaving that open.
And we agree that main source of the waters was not normal rain, rather that the 40 days and nights of rain was rather an effect of the main cause of water flooding the earth, some action which caused the "fountains of the great deep to be broken up."

I don't know if the Scripture provides a definitive answer as to why the flood was the means of destruction, and hence, why God ordained that chosen marine species should survive in the waters of the flood. Opponents assume the the waters of the flood were immediately and thoroughly mixed in the 150 days that the earth was covered with water, but that is a silly notion. Even today, after the supposed BILLIONS OF YEARS IN THEIR SCHEME, the waters of the earth's oceans are not of equal salinity, so why should we think that a single chaotic ocean of the global flood should be thoroughly mixed in less than half a year?

AS to which animals were taken on the ark, we will likely follow the suggestions of John Woodmorappe in his Feasability Study on the Ark.
